Dada Mail Manager
This Joomla! component allows you to bridge an existing or newly-created Dada Mail email list system into a Joomla! website. The component includes user and administrator list subscription control as well as an archive browser. Front end list subscription can be accomplished using either the built-in replacement for the native Joomla! user profile editor or the companion Dada Mail Subscriptions CB plug-in (you can find this in the Community Builder area of this website or at http://joomlander.net ). The component provides a fully customizable tabbed administrator interface for accessing all available Dada Mail settings. By default, only the settings that pertain to this Joomla component are enabled. A Users Guide is contained in the archive and most of the same information is available in the "About" section of the administrator interface. Dada Mail is free software and available at http://mojo.skazat.com. Finally! Real (and free) email lists for Joomla!

* v2.6 - BUG FIX: Corrected a typo in the settings file that kept an SMTP SASL option from appearing. Enhanced the saveConfiguration logic to prevent writing a zero or null value to a setting that is enabled but not displayed due to a typo in the menu name.

Free plugin for a commercial solution.... by Jackuzzie, July 22, 2007

This plugin for Joomla is freeware but DaDa is a COMMERCIAL product, it cost you US $50. The freeware version put everywhere DaDa copyrights, even on your emails and you can create a maximum of 3 lists, with each 5000 subscribers. Absolutely 'NOT FINALLY A FREEWARE SOLUTION' for Joomla as mentioned by the creator.

Owner's reply:
The copyrights that the Dada Mail system puts on messages are easily removed or changed by simple configuration changes in the Dada Mail Perl script. Just because it is limited to 3 lists does not mean it is not free.

I have been using DaDa mail for years - well before I started to use joomla. Up till now, it has been the only thing that I havent been able to integrate or use joomla based (it has been wrapped though, which was acceptable). This new component finally allows me to use a fully joomla based system.

Thanks! and I really hope that you continue development of this component as you develop DaDa.

Owner's reply:
Thanks for the kudos, JRW. I rolled this thing out before I fully resolved how people would migrate an existing Dada Mail installation into an existing Joomla! site (or a new one for that matter). It can be a bit complicated to get them in sync at first, but the back end subscription (member) manager should help. Please post your suggestions at joomlander.net (you'll need to register there). Enjoy!
