J!Progress
A simple module to display an unlimited number of progress bars. This module was formerly called "WWProjects" (which is still available for download here: http://www.joomlaos.de/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,fileinfo/id,112) The new version J!Progress 2 has been released and provides colour pickers for the admin component as well as a rewritten module.

This is a nice bit of kit. Its very simple but works well, I had no problems installing it. Its very basic and if you are looking for somthing dynamic then dont look here, but if you just want a basic bar that you can control how much it is filled up with from the back end then this is it.

Installed it without hope and found out - this is right what I needed to show the progress of our developing...

I downloaded and installed and published.

When browsing the frontend, this module gave a database error:

DB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'johnallanstudio.jos_jfprogress' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT * FROM jos_jfprogress WHERE published = 1 ORDER BY ordering

It didn't even create the db table it uses.
Went to their forums and the module isn't even listed. Surprise, surprise.

This module should be deleted from the extensions directory.

I had hoped that this module would display the progress of loading the page on slower connections. Nope. You must manually specify progress using the rudimentary form.

Not what I expected.
