Socioclick's LightBox Login/Register Module not just saves on valuable real estate for your site but gives you a slick web 2.0 login box using a modal lightbox script. This is were the background darkens and the login/register box will pop up in the middle of the screen. Just try it on the Demo!

***ChangeLog***
What was a bug on my site socioclick and could be a potential bug on other sites. It seems that there was a conflict with the other script(s), which was preventing signup in some browsers. This is fixed now and should not be a problem for your own site. Please re-download and install if not done so.

When I developed our website with Joomla 1.5 RC's & 1.5.0 (in legacy mode) I took this and made it work for our template. It worked pretty well. I've now updated to Joomla 1.5.3 and changes to the login system had well and truly messed it up, so have had to back to a standard login box. It would be great for the author to revisit the module and create a native 1.5.3 version.

ok it works on ie7 and ff but not on flock or opera! anyone know how to fix this problems on these browsers.

hi

the module works great, but in firefox the input boxes run off the edge of the box, but it was easily changed on the css in mod_login_box.php file

I changed #lb_box width from 398 to 450
and #lb_box_content from 390 to 442

It is important to keep the content width 8 less than the box width

I've tested this on the developers site and it looks great. Like many other Joomla users, my request is that CB support be added. Ideally this will also support CB plugins that alter the CB login form/process such as Virtuemart.

I used this great module. You can see that I point it 5 (excellent). The only problem with myself is I don't know how to make the module appear right in the computer screen if I set up the module position in the right. As locate in this position, the pop-up window appear completely toward the right and can not see or log in. How can we adjust?

Mod installs well, very promising but like 'seancarew' I found the grey background fails to show in both IE and FF. Without this background it's practically impossible to see the fields necessary to fill in.

The idea is great but tbh it can't be used if the background fails to display.

Let me start off by saying that this module works perfectly upon your first install. It looks slick and saves on page loads. Nice.

There are two things that need improvement:

Native support for Community Builder is a must. I love this module, but the lack of CB support means that I'll have to uninstall it for the time being.

Second, there needs to be options in the module config to change the CSS settings for background color, images, configurable fields and so forth.

This module is off to a great start, it just needs a bit more polishing. Keep an eye on this one.

Basic CSS features via the module can provided. Again I have to ask you to watch this space.
