This contribution let you allow authentification (include user creation process) in your Joomla (1.0.x) website with an openID url. This contribution includes :

- a module (the openid identification part, customisable) : mod_openid_rp.zip
- a component (the core of openid process) : com_jopenid.zip
- the actual (v1.2.1) openID libraries : PHP-openid-1.2.1_libraries.zip

This libraries must be unzipped in the library path directory of your apache php installation (example : D:\Program Files\EasyPHP1-8\php\pear).

In the folder com_jopenid\lang\, you will find the requested openID parameters, do not change this values, unless if you are an openID expert.

NEWS !!! This composant is now available for Joomla 1.0.15.

this is a stable and working openid "plugin" for joomla. It works on normal joomla sites without problems. But at the moment it does not support CB and SEO tools like.

Would be good if it could support on newer releases ;-)

It's FULLY working now!

You need:
- to upload the library FOLDERS (Services/ and Auth/) in your joomla root (if you have your site in /var/www/html/joomla10/ install it in joomla10/, not elsewhere).
- PHP5 (not working with the PHP 4.4.8 I have on shared hosting, may work with other versions?)

Component has NO settings, it's normal, go to the module and configure "OpenID Login" from there. It even works without touching any settings. Oh, and think to publish the module ;)

I contacted the author about the new salted password since 1.0.13 and he replied immediately and updated the package.
See the "updated since" above. It was tested and working on 1.0.14 and 1.0.15

1 - Bad support
2 - Impossible to login into website
3 - Be carefull, this contribution requires to be the owner of the machine hosting your site (which is probably not the case ...) Indeed, this feature requires to be able to work on the root of the machine (and not on the root of the site).

thanks its great component but after login and go to my profil to change my user name OpenID URL to simple name i got error blank page
