It looks nice at the backend. And probably works nice with 1.0, but it is not working on the frontend with joomla 1.5 RC1. I get white screens. And the error message I get is that it is looking for some mambottable, which is not included in my database. |

I really like this component, especially abilities to create "favored by users" functionality...but, i think, comments module itself is not the best...JomComment have at least one HUGE advantage - AJAX

This brilliant component does for free what i've been trying to achieve with no success with other commercial components.
It sort all the content items, display any kind of information you can think about, and add many functions such as: Favorites, del.icio.us, rating, related articles, quote, and many more.
And you can control all the functions easily in the control panel. I'm Impressed! |

I really like this extension however I had to remove it due to the fact that it stretches out my 3 column template big time. If this problem get resolved I would definetly be reinstalling it. |

First of all I want to say that it works quite nice. The import function is a must if you used akoComment (special tweaked edition).

I would like to suggest some features:
- an option to show or hide the title. (in the form and to show it)
- an option to show or hide the commentrating (the stars, they are always showed)
- an option to show or hide the IP

Looks great, but need some fixes...
1. Possible template problems (i have)
2. Use real name instead username ( donīt want this )
3. Some poeple have probs with sent comments (i donīt have)
However I REALLY LIKE THIS COMPO..but unfortunately need to uninstall it... wait for bug fixes--->>> then will really good and use that

I normally don't take the time to write a comment, but I hope that by writing one here I will see a correction of the problems involved with this component.
I like the feel and look of it, but some central bugs need correction before I'm gonna use it.
1. The component provides a choice between displaying username or realname in an article. However, if username is chosen here, it will - regardless of the setting - show the realname instead.
2. Template problems. I use a template that offers a left side, a center and a right side. However, this component destroyed that template as much as possible. Whenever I entered the comment area it would move my right modules to a center position. Thus, this module appears to be useful only if you have a template without a right side.
3. This might be the biggest problem. I attempted different settings when posting a comment, but regardless of the settings - it did not save one single comment. So, it cannot comment. Anyone else experienced this bug? At least, I feel it is important for a comment component to provide the ability to save the comment :)
I hope you fix the errors mentioned in upcoming versions. Owner's reply: All this bugs are fixed with the new version 1.0.1

Like a brand new French Cetroin car.. This is the best joomla edition I could see for a long time.
Right after installing mXcomment, I went to see if this commenting system could fit with my unique needs. Unique because of the RTL nature of the sites I design, and yes it was. Elegant, straight forward and even far exceeded my expectations. The tweaking of it was very enjoyable experience for sure.

This comment extension is really impresive and sooo beautiful to look at!
IMHO it is the best and most felxible system out there- very easy to adjust the looks to your site!
It is feature packed- more than any other system out there.
I switched from jomcomment to mxcomment!
There is no better commenting system out ther at the moment.
It worked right away and is really easy to use!
I would like it to have one jomcomment feature though:
When a new comment is submitted I would like to receive an email with three links in it where I can directly publish / unpublish / delete the comment.
Other than that it is superior to all the others!
And above all that IT IS FREE! |
