Allows searching of all content items with option to limit search to specifc sections.

Based on the standard search content mambot, use at your own risk.

To Install:

1) Deactivate the standard content search mambot
2) Install bot_search_ex.zip
3) Activate 'content search ex' mambot
4) Enter the section ID's you wish to enable in the mambot.

Not bad... by kram, February 27, 2008

I think this is great if it meets your immediate needs. Orverall though, I'd love it if this extension were improved and expanded.

As is, you can limit the site's search functions to specific sections. Cool. But you won't be able to create different types of searches (i.e. one search for 'category1' and a separate search for 'category2')

If it weren't for that drawback I'd be able to use this on my site...

It works ! Finally you can search only in to a specific section.
Very good if you have duplicate content in multiple sections because joomla doesn't allow a specific content linked to multiple sections :(
