VirtueMart Google Base ( Froogle ) Bulk Upload
Add your products to Google Base with this bulk upload utility component. For: VirtueMart 1.0.12 - 1.0.14.

This installable component for VirtueMart creates a bulk upload feed in XML format for bulk uploading your products to Google Base. The bulk upload feed is created from your VirtueMart store information, Vendor settings and active product list.

Features include:

* Create bulk upload XML for Products or Services

* Allows you to enter any sub-type and additional Google Base tags.Store Information settings are included in the Google Base bulk upload information for Store Title, Link, Description, and Location Item information

* Includes all products listed as active on your site.

* Product name, SKU, description, default price, and image link fields are included.

* The 'brand' is taken from the Vendor name The free version of this component enables you to download the bulk upload file to your hard drive, and links to the Google Base bulk upload page for you to upload the file. The free version of this component is restricted to creating feeds based on the default vendor.

Now updated with some minor bug fixes and tested an Joomla 1.0.15 with VirtueMart 1.0.14.

This is a good component but strait away when we tried to publish or preview the contents of the xml there was an error, which related to the ampersand (&), so we added some replace statements which took care of this problem.

Then we tried to download the xml file, which didn't work because the variable sent in the form was not being caught by the other script to generate the xml file, so we added that also and it worked perfectly after that.

So we then uploaded the xml file to Google base and hey presto everything was there and searchable within 15 minutes.

Many thanks for this I have tried for ages to upload to base without any lucks. Tried a few other ways as well still no luck.

This worked straight away though. 5mins configuring then straight up to google base. Brilliant.

PS I didn't need to register to download it? Is that right
