Brightcode WebLinks module
What does this module do ?
You can show links from the Joomla! Web links component.

When this module is installed it shows links from a specified category or from all categories. You can set the number of links to be shown, how to show them (ordered by date, hits or random). And you can show a More... link to show te rest of the links.

How to install this module.
1. Just install it as any other module.
2. Publish the module
3. Done !

This module needs the Original Joomla! Web Links module.

Module Settings:
1. Choose Weblink Category (Choose a WebLink Category. (must be a nr. / choose catid) If set to 0 no category is choosen.)

2. Module Class Suffix (A suffix to be applied to the css class of the module (table.moduletable), this allows individual module styling)

3. Show new (Display if link is new)

4. Number of days link is new (Enter the number of day to show new link)

5. Sort order (Select were to sort on):
* Date DESC
* Hits DESC
* Title
* Random

6. Show hits (Display the number of hits)

7. Number of rows to use (Enter the number of rows)

8. Open in new window (Open the link in a new window?)

9. Length of title (Maximum number of characters before the linktitle is cut of.)

10. Length to cut off (Number of characters to use when title has to be shortened.)

11. Show read more (If there are more rows then shown in column there will be a Read More Link. This link will open the Joomla! Weblinks component with the choosen category.)

If you have any question or problem with this module, just drop me an email.

This was exactly what I was looking for! by primaxx, April 16, 2008
Except for the fact previously mentioned here; it doesn't support SEO optimization...
Except from that it integrates well with the website and is easy to install and configure.
In other words: It looks good, but doesn't work for a lot of us.

Donīt work on Joomla 1.5 with SEO by juanchucho, April 6, 2008
I used on Joomla 1.5 and works well, but with the SEO optimization donīt work,

Works great by bbw, March 9, 2008
easy to install and set up - wish I could choose to have the items sorted in DATE-Ascending rather than descending, and would like to be able to have a bulleted list etc, but for now it is perfectly what I needed. Copied the module and made several for my various weblink categories. groovy mod.

It's OK, but pretty basic by arpboy, March 2, 2008
It's a nice module insofar as it goes. I'd like the ability for it to add the descriptions of the link, to boldface or set off the title from the description -- in other words, a nicely formatted module for J1.5.

Nice and simple by lioninside, September 14, 2007
