This Module is a useful and popular drop-down menu feature for the Joomla CMS system. It shows menu items in a drop-down list and has the ability to contain Menu and Submenu items. This Module is an improvement on the "Quick jump menu – drop down menu" on Joomla.org. It does everything it did before but after reading mdb76's we decided to carry out the recommended changes and improve the module to allow users to show parent menu items and the ability for the administrator to edit the first text items on the list.

Not a bad module, however, it has a few major shortcomings:
1) It doesn't keep your menu structure - it sorts by alpha A/D only - meaning NO hierarchy
2) Cannot control the width/# of characters
3) It doesn't remove duplicates

If your site structure supports it, it would probably serve you well. However, once you move to a complex structure, you will probably want to look elsewhere.

Good module except for you can only put one on a page making it pretty dysfunctional.

A GREAT MENU by lightload, November 28, 2007

This is a great menu that will save me time, the only question I have is, can the menu bar not be extended. It seems limited in what you can have in there. For example, you can not fit in, removals and storage, you can only see removals and st, i would love to be able to expand the size of the menu bar

The one problem I had with the last one was that it only allowed just one drop-down menu per page...it's a great module...but that was one major draw back. I installed this new one hoping that had been fixed...but it hasn't...

The module is nice and clean, and it works well for the most part. But, it will not open url links in new windows.
