 The X-banner is a robust and super lightweight image rotating module for the Joomla CMS system.
In making the X-banner ultra-easy and tidy we decided to build it to work in partnership with Joomla’s credited core banner component. This allows the site administrator to work within a familiar tool set while being able to use the welcomed features provide by the X-banner module.
The decision to develop the X-banner was a response to our tiresome search for a banner tool that was lightweight, cross browser compatible and did not conflict with other extensions.

We have resolved the SQL bug which caused all of the banners to display rather than the client id's selected.

* Ability to set border width.
* Choose to randomise the display order of banner images.
* Choose to pause banner rotation when mouse hovers over image.
* Supports all popular web images: gif, jpeg, png
* Module Duplication - the module supports Joomla’s "Copy Module" function, allowing the administrator to have different modules assigned to different pages.

This is a great extension and simple to setup. Just list your client IDs like 1,2,3 (with the comma between them) when you customize the module. A copy of the module worked good on the same page with a different set of banners (client IDs 4,5,6). My client was driving me insane demanding 2 units of banners each set of a different size, both sets on each page and he wanted them rotating at the same time. This module made my day! Highly recommend to all, even newbe like can set it up. |

This is a very user friendly and easy to install module. What is great is the ability to set the width and height of the banner, etc. Good work! |

This works great in all browsers except Safari, and it seems that the script on Dynamic Drive has since been updated to work in Safari.
If this can be updated to include this new script as I think only 1.5 is being used currently maybe this would fix an otherwise perfect rotating banner module. |

This is an excellent mod and very easy to use. I had one small problem on client iD (in Banner Manager/Client Manager). But a simple call to Paul and I was up and running in seconds.
It brings a whole new image to my site and I will be looking at all other Components/Mods etc from this developer.

This is a cool mod, but how do you select certain banners to appear in the x-banner mod locale and NOT have those same banners appear in the standard Joomla! banner locations?
Do you disable the factory Joomla! banners and just use x-banner in multiple locations?

This module worked right from the get go. I was able to make custom size banner which is what I wanted to do. Also place different banners on different pages etc. And also add multiple clients and banners for clients it's real wicked. Thanks for this module and I highly recommend it. thanks guys |

I've been searching for a mod that shows banners that can be clicked, and also be rotated, sorted by client. Actually this was the only one i could find that seemed user friendly. I tried it: looked awesome. Only problem was that it couldn't display more than 1 rotating banner.... and guess what, after reporting the bug it was fixed by the developer.
There's no stopping this mod now! Great usage of the build-in joomla banner component, easy to use, nice effects and multiple rotating banners defined per client. Keep up the good work! |

Good idea, looks promising. Unfortunately the selection of client id's to show does not work. It cycles through all the pictures in the banner directory. This makes it almost useless before this is sorted out, because all your banners would have to be the same size. |

I know Id love this module if it worked right. I am also having the same problem mentioned elsewhere. Despite the limits inserted using ClientID, the module will still try to play back other banners. This is very concerning if you have multiple sizes. |

I like the transitions, very nice and I like the concept but i am having problems with selecting clients. If I type in the 'client box' say, '2' the banner still cycles through all the ads I have from all clients. Am I missing something really obvious? Any help would be great thanks. |

Could not get any simpler. I had previously tried banner mods that gave each banner equal displays, now this one does that and more.
One very small point - there was no "alt" tag for the displayed banner image, also how to have click open in new window |

Superb! I spent the last week testing various banner rotations. Other modules didn't allow customization of the URL per image, they caused conflicts with other components/modules (javascript), or simply didn't work.
This module is great! It builds on the already-working Joomla banner system, and adds some pleasing effects to rotate them dynamically.
Good work, WebxSolution Ltd! I had almost given up. |
