The Missing Metadata module adds a panel to the Control Panel of the Joomla Administrator interface that lists any published articles that have empty metadescription or metakeys fields. Search engines (particularly Google) use the metadescription text as the summary text for site-listings displayed in search results. Any articles that fails to include this metadata will suffer in their web presence and search engine ranking. After installation, be sure to active the module in the Module Manager > Administrator modules pane and set the position to CPanel so the module will appear properly.
Note: The link points to the Joomla 1.5 version of the module. Please visit the home page to download the 1.0 version.

Great to remind you and for an overview of pages with no metadata or keywords.
Quick and easy installing. As some said before in a review. As a newbey it took some time to find out it had to be activated in the module manager for the administrator.
Good work.

Just the sort of admin alert that makes our lives just a tad bit easier.
One of the challenges with authors or content contributors is ensuring they twiddle all the bits on-or-off....and they mostly don't. So having anything like this tool puts needed metadata spots at my fingertips.
Nice job! Also, this took about 1 minute to download, install, publish and start to use.

I'm someone to whom metadata is an unwelcome chore -- and this kind of gentle "nag" makes it a lot easier.
I second a couple of minor quibbles mentioned previously: the "successful installation blurb" should remind you to activate in the Admin module section, and to move the module to the Control Panel. And once you edit a content item, there should be a way to return directly to this module, not to the content item list.

Excellent module..... although I missed reading the instructions to activate in the Administrator's modules, and couldn't figure out what was going on for a few minutes! For people who are used to Joomla it's a no-brainer, but for newbies.... um, that could be extended to "activate in the Administrator modules, not the Site modules!" :)

Why is it that the simplest things are so often the best? This item performs a simple function and in turn fulfills a great need. You'll wonder why nobody thought of it earlier! Top stuff.

| Very useful and works well with Joom 1.5 by Cugels, February 12, 2008 |

It took me a bit of time to figure out how to get it configured, but it seems to be a very useful way to highlight the articles missing meta data with a convenient control panel interface. This is a good extension.

This is truly a fabulous module for SEO purposes. With my large portal and members capable of adding articles, this enables me with ease to check and add where necessary meta-data! Well done to the developer!
Many Thanks
