This is a module that displays the Islamic prayer times.
Features include:
-display prayer times right off islamicfinder.com
-display your own custom defined times just fill the text box.
-display sunrise time
-add leading or trailing text to module before or after the times
-user defined Iqama times

future implementations:
-display prayers from database
-convert module to a component
-Multi-language support

First i want to say that this is a great program I love it. i was having a problem with the url from islamicfinder.com but it was my fault.

if you see an error like: mod_prayer_times/mod_prayer_times.php on line 86

if you get this make sure that your url starts with http:// and ends at the lang= this fixed my problem.

Great extension by red shift, October 1, 2007

This extension is a great addition. Islamicfinder's prayer service for websites is a nice feature but rather ugly, this presents the information in a cleaner format with the ability to customize and override settings

This is a really simple module that thankfully works as advertised.

Essentially, the module parses prayer times from IslamicFinder's standard slew of prayer time applications - which are found on so many websites - and then wraps it in a Joomla! friendly interface. After installation, the module allows you to define some standard offsets to the provided prayer times. Given that you can already configure the prayer times before you generate the web link from IslamicFinder, I've found this functionality to be marginally beneficial.

One interesting feature that's not included or rather, not parsed from the IslamicFinder web link, is the date feature. Given the offsetting capabilities available for the daily prayer times, the date feature might have more benefited from this as so many people seem to have differing methodologies for determining the start of the lunar months.

Again, overall, a very valuable application and much thanks goes out to the developers.
