I love this guestbook, but the spam won't stop rolling in! Today I disabled guestbook entries from the Akobook control panel and I got three more spam entries within an hour! It looks like the spammers are totally skipping over the entry form and submitting directly to the database. I suspect that if I rename Akobook's PHP files I may be able to stop the spam.

We are getting hit by spammers all day every day on our guestbooks. Such a pity, and as said the security features don't cut it... I'd stay well clear of this until a useful anti-spam features is integrated.

Been using this guestbook since the old mambo days and didnt have any problems with it until now. Getting spammed on my guestbook so was forced to disable it. Using the Securebot didnt help as the messages were still coming through despite it being enabled.

I do hope Arthur Konze comes up with a fix soon otherwise best to stay away from this component.

Have been using it for a couple of months without problems. The installation was comparatively easy. This has probably saved many joomla users akobooks!

It works up until you try to post something. There is no option front or back end to write a post to the guest book.
