Welcome to ArtForms, a Joomla's forms component!

The ArtForms component is a package for an easy From Generator for Joomla 1.0.xx.
It allows you to generate as much Forms as you like, you can define all fields
that you need and also make file upload and attachment possible.
The idea of the ArtForms is to give a tool that is enabling you to create a
dynamic forms in minutes within your Joomla! CMS.

Introduction
------------------
The ArtForms 2.1 project is a so called JArtForms and with this maintained by InterJoomla.
You can find the project homepage, forum and all additional information at http://jartforms.interjoomla.com.ar/ or in the Joomla! developer forge at http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jartforms/.

Languages
---------------
In version 2.1 b7.1 you get spanish, english, german, hungarian, dutch, turkish, brazilian portuguese, italian, and french languages files. Polish too but incomplete with some texts in english yet.
Please, if you can translate this or make a new language translation send me a copy to integrate your language into official package.

IMPORTANT!
----------------
- ArtForms uses Joomla's mail settings!!! check if that has been setted
correctly!
- Be carefull, this new beta have a new lay-out feature, check the fields' layout of your existant forms.
- For make menus you MUST download ArtFormsMenu-j10-2.1.b7-english.zip at joomlacode (spanish available also). If not you only can made url links.
- Update-Package is only for update files with a ftp client, then you need go to update task and perform updates for your last ArtForms version (make a backup before that).
- Added FCKEditor Frontend support (of course you need to have installed it).
- When you update from old versions please don't forget to perform updates and check settings!
- Frontend Recived Forms was disabled by default, if you need that please check settings. If you need to create a menu use URL option and write one of these:
" /index.php?option=com_artforms&task=ferforms " or
" /index.php?option=com_artforms&task=tferforms " .
For include only one form add `&viewform=1` (where 1 it's the form that you only needs to show) Example:
" /index.php?option=com_artforms&task=ferforms&viewform=1 " or
" /index.php?option=com_artforms&task=tferforms&viewform=1 " .

Problem with Large Forms by kamudi, May 11, 2008

Works fine for small forms however when got to 35th field of form and save it. It doesn't show up anymore. Preview and form are just blank when trying to display on page. Submitted ticket but haven't receive and answer on this bug.

Outstanding Form Component by JackB, May 11, 2008

I've lately built several Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x sites and adding custom forms seemed always tricky until I discovered ArtForms.

ArtForms is so easy to use and yet so powerful. After installing the component to Joomla 1.0.x or the new version for Joomla 1.5.x creating a new form with a few mouse clicks on the admin panel is as easy as making tea.

There is a large variety of field types with automatic validation and even an included date picker for date fields based on JSCalendar. Just set a field type to date and the form shows the date picker button by default.

Despite being beta I consider ArtForm for Joomla 1.0.x 100% stable. The new version for Joomla 1.5.x is working well and has only a few minor bugs on the admin part, esle it is working perfect.

I had a few glitches when I first installed but they all disappeared when I uploaded the update. This is a great tool for a website that needs to interact with customers. I'm still coming to terms with all the possibilities.

Making form with easy by myfia, April 13, 2008

Well, this extensions make it easier for me to create forms - just follow the instruction, some experiment and get custom form.
At first I just unsure with export to xls, but it works.
Wait for stable release, and the docs/tutorial.
Hope this extensions still GNU/GPL ...it makes forms and rocks.

This extension surprised me. The interface and options are very well laid out. It's very easy to have a working form in minutes. Great component. I hope they finish the 1.5 version soon.

A great form component by tomt, April 3, 2008

This is by far the best form component that I have used the past few years. Installation, configuration and making the first form: it only took a few minutes (yes, i admit, I'm an experienced Joomla user). There are a bunch of extra parameters. And both admin as form looks great. A big THANKS to the developers.

Installation was a breeze, and then I went on to create a custom Contact Me form within the hour without even reading the documentation!

Tip #1: beware of validating added fields. When in doubt, leave them unvalidated or else they may not work.

Tip #2: when editing fields on an existing form be sure to click the "Show All" icon to the right of Form Fields in the upper left of the Fields tab's page.

I've tried chronoforms, facileforms and others. This one beats them all. Was able to install and create a form with file uploads and e-mail notifications in under an hour, and that includes styling with css. I had to pay for RSforms for a J!1.5 install and while it does work okay, I'm having problems and not getting any response via support. Granted it was only $10, but to get no response at all. I can't wait for the ArtForms version that works with J!1.5!

I went from install, to having a comprehensive contact form solution, in a matter of hours (it would have been quicker had I read the forums first. Great Work!

First of all, I just have to say thanks to the developers for developing such a great component. This component was easy to install. It worked correctly from the very first time I used it and it was super easy to use. One of the things I look at when I'm thinking of using a component is how the developers talk to people who have questions. I went through the developer's forums first to see the types of issues people were having and the way that the developers wrote back to them. I have seen some developers be really nasty to people who have asked questions that may have been asked before. But not the Artform developers! Every answer from the developers was polite. Help was always given and help seemed to be given rather quickly.

If you are looking for a top notch development team with a great component that will allow you to create beautiful, customizable forms quickly and easily, then download this component right now!

ArtForms is beyond fantastic!

ArtForms solved all my problems and was just the solace I needed after struggling with several other components trying to make custom forms. It has an intuitive easy to use interface; perfect for a newbie. If this is your first time creating custom forms, I would definitely go for ArtForms and skip the rest.

Oh God, which trouble i have with some form creators for Joomla. At last i work with facile, sure a good component, but a lil bit difficult to work with it. And it take much time b4 have a satisfied result.

With Artforms a dream get true. Easy way for create forms with secure.

Nice Form, Nice Interface, Captcha Issues by sabounchi, January 14, 2008

This form has a great interface with many options but good luck getting the captcha to work. I have tried every captcha this form is suppose to support but they all fail. I have also read that others have the same problem. Hopefully in the next release this will be fixed.

Had trouble updating from 2.1b6 to 2.1b7. Had contact with Gonzalo and he has helped me a lot. Recommend this extension since the author will help you when you have problems.
