 Xmap is a component based on the popular Joomap component. Xmap allows you to create a map of your site using the structure of your menus. This component adds new powerfull options to Joomap and fixes several bugs reported by many users of Joomap. Some of the new features compared with Joomap are:
* Capability to create more than one sitemap with different preferences for each sitemap.
* Cache system to allow a fastest sitemap generation. Ideally for large or high traffic sites. You can enable or disable this feature independently for each sitemap.
* AJAX based interface (Backend only)
* Exclude easily any menu item from your site map directly from the frontend
* Option to compress the XML sitemap
* Better presentation of the XML sitemap on browsers.
* Compatibility with Joomla 1.5
* You can specify the priority and change frequency params for each menu.
* Shows some statistical information for each sitemap:
o Las visit date.
o Number of links generated on the last visit.
o Number of visits.
* Several bugs fixes reported by Joomap users.
* There is available a lot of plugins for the most popular components: Zoom, DOCman, VirtueMart, Fireboard, SMF, Hot Property, SOBI2, Mosets Tree, MyBlog and many others.
* Customization for each extension

This plug in works very well for generating site maps. I've used its XML for a Google Sitemap.
This plug in is only Joomla 1.5 compatible if Legacy Mode plugin is enabled. Looking forward to a 1.5 native compatible version.

| Excellent extension!!!! by JBM, October 23, 2007 |

This extension is absolutely great; it is simple to install and easy to get it working. It comes with and HTML link for the site and XML for i.e. Goggle, I just added the XML path to the Google Webmaster Tools site and voila! had it up in running within seconds.
Guillermo the developer is incredibly helpful; I initially got it to work with Joomla without a problem but then I had issues with my other Mambo site. He fixed the Mambo patch right away and now I have it working with both Joomla AND Mambo...great job Guillermo!

I was looking for a site map component to work on my Joomla Site. The problem I thought I might have is that we have JACL installed with all different levels of access and menu items.
The backend deals with this easily by allowing you to create different site maps and exclude content areas.
Fantastic, highly recommended :)

The interface is very nice and clean.
The management process is simple.
Can't wait to see what improvements the developer will make in upcoming releases

A very nice sitemap, easy to use, and clean HTML.
Perfect to customize the looks with CSS in the way you want.
Provides a lot of plugins, for example JEvent and Docman.
And, until today, I didn't find a nice sitemap that works on Joomla! 1.5, but now I have!
Also a nice XML sitemap for search engines.
