Joomla 1.5 Sitemap
This is a very simple native sitemap component for Joomla 1.5 RC3. The component is an ALPHA release (now at v1.2) and has NO admin functionality (yet).

The current development lists all menus in the order they appear in the Joomla admin area, future enhancements include:

1.) the facility to show/hide certain menus
2.) show external links with icon
3.) order the menus
4.) output a Google Sitemap (XML) feed
5.) optional visual interface of mappings
6.) full CSS control of the output

Component Usage:
To make this component function, simply install the supplied ZIP file using the Joomla admin area. After successful installation, create a menu link to the component, selecting the default view.

NB: Having been designed for Joomla 1.5 it does not require legacy mode to be enabled.

Please keep this page bookmarked for future updates. Version 1.2 is now compatible with RC3 of Joomla (it may have backwards compatibility issues though so I would recommend only trying it on RC3 or above).

Soon to be released - Joomla 1.5.2 version - testing in progress.

Worked for me by Joomlaxel, March 11, 2008
Installed on 1.5.1. Went to Menu, created a link to the component, checking a few settings on the right side during the link setup. Click. Done. Looks good to me.

Does what it says on the tin by jeffharvey, January 24, 2008
Does exactly what it says, fast and simply!

It's great and it's going to be even better when, hopefully, there will be an option of which menus to display or which sections and categories.

Use it but watch what is being revealed.

Pretty good start by CommodorePeter, November 30, 2007
This component does what it says like it says, which is wonderful for my needs.
Pros:
* if you need a starting point on how to develop your own component, the simplicity of this thing makes it easy to follow
* excellent for a beginner web builder like myself
* good way to produce a site document reference (cut and paste screen to word for example)
Cons:
* need to be aware that it shows everything even those registered and special things even though the front-end is not logged in. Provided you have enabled proper security elsewhere that's fine.
* may not want to let your users see it, until you massage it some. (I like to hide my warts and stuff.)
