Although JooSurvey is listed under Community Builder plugins, it is a separate product on itself. It should be listed under "Surveys" if such a group would existed in Joomla extensions at the time of this writing.
I was looking for a survey extension in joomla and JooSurvey was the only freely available to test it. Unfortunately, I have never ever succeeded in installing it on my Joomla website.
Fortunately, the JooSurvey is based on LimeSurvey.org, which are the authors of this very good survey management product. I've tried it as a standalone application and was surprised how good this product is. But, be aware that LimeSurvey is a "small joomla" on itself. It is not an easy "few clicks" package you install and test it in a minute or two. You need time to read the documentation, which is very good indeed, and additional time to play with numerous options in preparing highly professional surveys.
You can install LimeSurvey as a standalone web application, publish it and than incorporate/integrate finished surveys in a joomla wrapper. However, there are some drawbacks, especially when wrapping in joomla from different domain, as is the case with this scenario. The advantage is that you can use single LimeSurvey for different (possibly joomla) domains.
The second option (and by my opinion much better from the integration point of view) is to install it within joomla installation (just add "/limesurvey" directory beneath the root joomla folder, and voila, you can produce, publish and manage very sophisticated surveys (joomla-wrapped of course). Don't forget proper security configuration in this integration scenario.
I don't blame JooSurvey author for not implementing the newest LimeSurvey version 1.70+ as a joomla extension, because integrating LimeSurvey into joomla is most likely a huge job, especially for a single man. Nevertheless, thank you Gelembjuk for pointing to the right solution, which plays in my joomla installation as a breeze.
