Bible Study was written by a pastor for pastors and webservants who want to connect their uploaded multimedia content to their website. The component allows you to enter and display information about your sermons, teachers, topics, etc and even allows full text versions of your sermons to be searched. The component now features podcasting, a teachers section, pdf creation, Bible passage display, and connections to an internal viewer.
The module allows much flexibility over how your sermons are displayed. You can copy the module and feature talks by different teachers in different parts of your site, for instance. The plugin adds studies into the site's main search engine.

I do not know how to say this in a more reserved matter. This is the best component, module that you can get to present Sermons. Here is why.
1. It is Very easy to install.
2. It is Very easy to use
3. It looks very nice
4. It is really very versatile
5. It does not have a lot of overhead. (well written)
6. Tom Fuller treats this like his baby. When it cries he is there. I have NEVER had an issue that TOM was not willing to fix.
Tom Fuller is so dedicated his product and his ministry that he goes far beyond the call of duty
In the christian world of computing there is a great lack in good components out there for churches. I would have to say all that I have tried have had their very unfortunate issues. However the level of depth and professionalism that has went into this component by far outweigh (any) component I have used for sermons or media display and content administration for that matter.
As a man who is working for a church that has great plans to expand rather rapidly new technology and ways to implement it for the user so that is friendly and aesthetic is very key. Longevity is another very important factor. Tom is a great person to work with.
Oregon, Tom Fuller and TEAM --- Great Job and I believe I am not overstating myself in saying you have literally blessed the socks off of every church trying to provide service to their members and the rest of the world. Thank you!

Bible Study is hands down the best media manager for Joomla. As if that wasn't enough, the features are perfectly designed for a church or ministry of any size. The back end flexibility and the front end sorting tools are unparalleled. The author provides wonderful support through his site. Bible Study is so good, I actually WANT to pay for it.

I cannot give Bible Study high enough praise.
We were looking to simply make sermons available online; then I found Bible Study. This extension helped us get the streaming local and remote content to work but added other functions that our members/visitors have found invaluable. The other features we use are scriptures and secondary resource material, study guide content from the pastoral team, and a full comments feature allowing people to add their 2 cents to a study. Users can see everything they need on one scree and we are even starting to podcast our studies through Bible Study.
The 6.0.9 version installs perfectly and provides 100% control over even the most minute variables without requiring CSS or programming changes. We had Bible Study running in two hours.
This solution does exactly what it says it will do and does it well. The support team answered my only question immediately and they take great pride in making sure you get your deployment right.

I have had the pleasure of working with this component now for a few days and I must say that it's one of the best components I have ever used. There aren't very many components for the Christian community but this one is packed full of features that takes this way beyond a sermon manager. Well done to the developer. I look forward to future versions.

I was a user of Sermon Speaker. When I upgraded my church website to J!1.5 I checked out Bible Study. It has so many more features than Sermon Speaker every had. According to the developers they are working on a multi-stream podcasting ability. Once they get that ironed out Sermon Speaker won't even be able to come close to it.
I recommend this component to anyone that is running a church website that wants to have a complete listing of their multimedia content, categorized by books of the Bible, topic, teacher, series, and type of message. Check it out on their demo site, or feel free to check out my live version at http://www.colbertchurchofchrist.org/index.php?option=com_biblestudy&view=studieslist&Itemid=80

This is a component and module combination (with an added search plug-in) for publishing all types of Bible related studies these can be any combination of text, audio or video files and so is just as suitable for text based study notes as it is for sermons\talks by mp3 or video. It is flexible and easy to configure it to your requirements right from the J! backend without needing any coding skills.
I have been extensively testing this release on native mode Jooomla 1.5 RC4 and later nightlies, it is stable, easy to use and can easily be styled to fit in with your site template.
Its main features:
Works with J! 1.5 Native mode
Extensive database use for regularly used items such as the names of preachers, series titles, topics, bible books and media file locations. Also stores size and duration information.
Multiple media handled for the same study (text and mp3 and video for example with different icons for each)
component table can be styled for background colour\text size etc from the back-end
Module that shows most recent studies\talks again with plenty of configurable information elements and style tags.
Component view that has configurable drop down menus to easily find a certain series or speaker and also full text search.
Limitations - Its a back-end component so there no front-end editing, you will need to upload your media seperately and manually enter the duration and size information. At the moment it doesn't include podcasting functionality but that is in the pipeline for the next version.
Support from the developer has been second to none and plans for future releases sound very promising.
A great component that does so much more than it's humble title suggests.
