let's start by saying it is very easy to use ! nice job !

BUT... i cannot find anywhere wich file extensions it supports.. only gif seems to work for me.. i can't imagine that jpg doesn't work, maybe i'm doing something wrong??

ah well.. i'll convert my jpgs to gifs and i'm happy too !!

I started to rewrite my website to Joomla beginning in March, and Image Browser was the first add-on I did install! I am very satisfied with the easy installation and user friendly back-end.

I have a feeling that the author of this software are working on some additional features asked for in some of the previous reviews.

this is a gallery that works pretty good.
but a couple of things i miss: max. photo's per page and multiple image upload. for the rest: keep it up! its a good component!

Having looked at loads of gallery possibilities to work with Joomla 1.5 I finally came across this little gem. No fuss, simple to install and very easy to use. The key feature for me is it is so so easy to add/edit captions on each picture.
I would agree with those that have suggested a "create all thumbnails" button and the only other thing that would help make it perfect for me would be the addition of "previous"/"next" buttons on the zoomed view.

Just a suggestion to the developer: it should be better to have the option to create the thumbnail FOR ALL the images present in a gallery beside the boring option to create it one by one.

This is a great extension that is simple and works without any problems so far. I love it. Installation was simple and easy and the end result is very professional.

The only thing that really causes me grief is the inability to generate batch thumbnails once a folder of images is FTP'd to the server. With this in place, this gallery would be AWESOME.

But there is no posibility to write description to each picture, so i can't use it, wich sucks.

It's a very good extension for a gallery. However I'm having a problem of it not reading .png files. Other than that the rest works well :)

I searched high and low for an easily usable Lightbox-like gallery thingy, and I happened upon this.

I really like this component, especially since this component allows me to group my pictures exactly where I want it. Even though it offered a default path to store the picture, I can easily select another path.

Furthermore, this component allows folders within its storage path, something I deem necessary due to the amount of pictures I have.

I can't give this an "excellent" rating yet, because this component lacks EITHER (1) batch uploading, or (2) Mass thumbnail generation. It's a royal PITA to upload the photos one-by-one; I use an FTP client instead. But doing so means I have to generate the thumbnails one-by-one. If EITHER batch uploading is implemented OR mass thumbnail generation is implemented, then this component will surely get an "Excellent!" rating from me.

Other than that, this is a slick and really good-looking addition to my site, hands down :)

I need photo galleries that my end-users can use easily. I've tried them ALL for 1.0, literally, and have only found solutions that come close to what I want.

This gallery system is the closest yet. There is nothing added that you don't need, the interface is really easy to use and the output is clean and attractive out of the box.

I found it easy to use, and I like the result.

I can see what the previous caller meant about auto thumbnailing a whole directory. I found just clicking on them, but not waiting for the thumbnail to appear worked for me

Can I rearrange the order of my folders on the frontend?
Can I stop it showing the path' root>(myfolder) 'on the frontend?

the only reason why im not giving the excellent rating is because there is no option to make thumbs for an entire folder, so if you are like me and have 100+ in a single folder you will have trouble

but looking forward for some updates!!!

Luis! Thank you for this very useful Gallery Component.

Easy to install, easy to handle, easy to customize, native Joomla! 1.5 support. And as a matter of course, Luis does his work on tracker items: Most of them have been closed within two days. With an approved solution. Hence I can't agree with Florut. This gallery component is (BTW: like all other 1.5 components at present) a Beta Release and Luis does a great job. Rating down and neither submitting any items on the bugtracker nor on the wishlist was not smart.
