LCPlayer - Radio / TV Module

This is a very easy module which enables you to reproduce the player in your web site Joomla. Get the url of your favorite radio or tv and add it in the administration. This module comes along with 10 url as example. Those stations will be available to the user from the menu drop down. The permission to use this menu will be given by the administrator, as well as change the player’s dimensions according to its template. It also gives you the possibility to choose a logo for the player.

Now the version 2.0 permit:

- Create a link logo,
- English and Portuguese Language,
- Fix blank space on the link and name stations.

First time writing a review, but I had to. LCPlayer is in Portuguese only, behaves differently in IE and Firefox and it simply doesn't work...
OK, here's the scoop:
I installed the Extension. It went like a breeze.

What I really needed it for was not exactly what the Extension Author purposed it for ... but since I haven't much clues about PHP-From-Scratch sortta' thing, it was easy to modify the Extension so that it did fit my purposes.

I did not need to have the Extension to function as a radio/tv station list. Rather, I needed the Extension to behave as a component which would allow Users to select from a list of Audio/Visual Teaching titles (MP3's) which were being published by our Streaming Multimedia Server. So, instead of having a User choose between, say, Station A and Station B and so forth, it allows Users to choose between different Teaching titles.

The author obviously has English as a second language [possibly third :)] language and so his PHP Script shows this and the documentation is a bit scarce too. But, since it is distributed entirely free and it is fitting to our needs here alot better than other Extensions I have paid 25 dollars and upwards, I am not complaining.

If you are hosting a WebSite that is streaming a series of audio/visual media, then this will work perfectly for you. For instance: let's say a Church wishes to publish their audio/visual Sunday-after-Sunday ... well the DropDown Menu can say Sunday, Jan 19-2008 / Sunday, January 26-2008 and the User can choose which media event he wishes to connect to.

Anyways, you can use it of course for what the Extension author created it for ... connecting to Streaming Audio/Vusual sources on the Internet enabling Users to enjoy them on your WebSite. It is extremely easy to change the streaming media sources currently assigned to the Extension if you wish to listen/view to alternative Broadcasts/Stations.

I hope that is not too long a story ... but I wanted to be sure to explain everything properly so that Joomla people might easily find this will suit their needs.

Ok this idea is nice but has some problems.
First one: The list of Radio station is 10. I tried to eliminate some of the list and it just keep giving me the stations. I had to put NONE in the blanks to avoid the default stations.

Second one: The language is only in Portuguese. I was able to read it but it not has a language file so people can translate it. I can make a direct translation on the module core files but not everybody is capable of doing that.

Third one: all kind of radio modules needs a pop up window option because NO ONE is going to stay in the same website front page all the time. We want that visitors can browse all the website while they listen to music. Every time someone change the page the radio station resets to default.

If you fix the problem with the mandatory 10 radio stations and change it to optional amount and add the pop up option issue and add a language file (I can translate it to English and Spanish) this module will be great
