This extension seemed to do everything I need - BUT I've had several problems and had to uninstall and reinstall several times. I've emailed support and posted on his forum. All go unanswered.

It may be a good extension, but good luck ever getting any support.

This component looks a lot more professional than most and is easy to configure in the backend as it uses a templating system. It has many built-in features such as ratings, vcards etc. but does lack a few important things such as a truely integrated payment system & a search module. Though there are workarounds for these.

I am very impressed with the quality of this component but the support leaves a lot to be desired. The FAQ sections are very good. But I have waited patiently for answers to various questions i posted on the support forums as well as one email sent for a request, sadly I couldn't even get a one word reponse. This is a shame as their products are top quality. But after sales service is just as important to me as the product. I must say I expected a higher level of support from commercial software developers.

This is a fantastic product. I have been trying different products for weeks and while most of the were good the did not allow for ease of use, such as the way the templates are set up in mossdirectory.

All areas are easy to change and blend in with your website theme. There are also many features that allow the product to be used by anyone from novice to expert and all will get great results.

While I have also tried for days to find a negative for this product, I have not found one as of yet. The price for this product is a steal and these guys are under selling themselves.

One of the best component's I've used yet. Easy to install and configure. The admin panel was so easy to figure out. Thanks for writing this script it has made my life sooooooo much easier with joomla, I am still new to using joomla so I need all the help I can get.

I purchased this ages ago and used it off and on a few times. I found other directories that suited my needs better since then. If you are looking for a basic directory where you control putting in all the data then this one is for you. Currently there is no option to turn off some of the advance features for users submitting listings anonymously like being a highlighted listing, overwrite publishing dates and etc, without editing the template file and deleting selections.

Also there are still many bugs which I reported over a year ago still exist. Support is flaky most of the time with minimum word responses which annoy me.

We looked around for ages and in the end used Phils system we are very happy with it. The system allows meta tags to be put in it hides the listings email and has many levels of advertisment. Great if you want to sell listings in the future and it works with mambocharge. We have not found it buggy and the support from Phil is 3 stars!

This Directory component giant weakness is that there is no internationalization or multilanguage support.

Compared to Bookmarks, it's easier to manage, but for sure not better.

This is a solid directory system that is particularly useful for address-based directories.

Just as with all of Phil Taylor's components, this will be yet another worthwhile addition to your Joomla website. The Admin controls are very easy to understand and the front end displays nicely. Best of all, Phil's customer support is over-the-top good.. he stands behind his products. When I first started out with Joomla, I was a bit hesitant to pay for third party components.. afterall, Joomla is free.. why shouldn't all of the components be free too? But after spending some time now, building Joomla websites I realize that sometimes you get what you pay for.. and what's a mere 30 dollars? it's nothing.. . when you consider how much better your website becomes... and once you see how much work has gone into these components and once you experience how solid the customer support is, you wouldn't begrudge the developer a small fee in return for all the hard work he/she has committed... Personally, I don't build a Joomla website without at least a few of Phil's components... if I have to invest $30-$50 or more into a new website project, I consider myself lucky... For my own website (HealingHQ.com - currently redoing in Joomla) I have purchased every single one of Phil's components.. and the minute he develops a new component, I will undoubtedly send another paypal payment his way.... The bottom line is that I want my website to be the best it can be - feature rich, attractive and easy to use - thanks to developers like Phil Taylor, my life is easier and my websites are better. It's a partnership that I have gotten used to.. Whenever I build a new website I feel like I have Phil Taylor and his team on my side.. and that gives me peace of mind - and a better site!
