It's easy to use and it has all the features anyone could want.
The only cons is that is not tag or seo friendly wich means tag cloud modules don't get it's content.
It's 1.0.x component but works great on 1.5.
The template had some css mistakes but really easy to correct or even change with any dom inspector.
Should have more options like picture size or video like. If you could expand it just a bit this would be better then digg itself.
Thanks for this dude. Please keep perfecting it.

I have been looking for a way to run my tutorial site with Joomla for a while, and this comes really close. Since it is still in Beta its hard to criticize.
-The Submission form looks great
-Easy to Set up
-display looks great
This isn't ready for mass consumption yet, but with some work it will be a very good component.
Recommendations:
-You should list the component under directory with SOBI, AlphaContent, and Mosets Tree
-Need ability to choose who can submit
-Need admin to be able to approve/disapprove with emil
-image resize on upload? or even better, let admin set image file size & then resize on the fly from original
Will be a great component when done!

This looks so promising, but...I cannot get it to work. I have tried it on several websites and all had different issues. I have written the authors and never recieved a reply. I would pay for this if it worked. I'm pretty savvy and have very few issues with joomla components, even the ones others complain about work for me.
I gave the a fair rating because it is so promising.

This is a great component considering it's one of a kind for Joomla, but there is room for improvement. First, "faving" doesn't seem to working in Firefox. Well that's more of a bug. A couple of features that I'd like to see are an RSS feed and some modules to show the most popular and/or most faved articles.

Right out of the box it works as advertised on Joomla 1.5.2 in legacy mode. I added a few feature requests over on the joomlacode tracker. Looking forward to future releases.

I just installed it and it looks very promising, it's that kind of component you're looking for but in vain.
Now I found it and, I really like it.
Bad thing is: Faving isn't working, The Number won't grow, and some tutorials won't show up in the admin backend, while being shown on the frontend without being accesible,

Next Beta 3 in we will use jQuery.js... We hope this problem will be solved!

I think this a unique component and will be very useful for all Joomla users. I cant help but notice that there is no way users can view their "fav" items!! What's the point in selecting favourites/bookmarking items if you can't store them or view them?
Excellent layout thought.

Really promising extension.
I have some trouble when installing the mysql db, but finally it worked out!

I would give highest rating to this component because there is no such component available out there like this one.
If this component goes out of beta it will be most used component on Joomla for sure. We need more developers to join in this project to help. Because, I cannot get it installed. The one on sourceforge is buggy. It is giving me mysql error. http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/tutorials_com/frs/
It sounds like the others had luck of installing it. It is probably the new version is buggy. Can some one join this project and fix this bug. Please. This is like the most wanted component. Please we need it as soon as possible. http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/tutorials_com/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=9374

I've installed this component and I'm very pleased to see some people are making a good, slick'looking tutorial-component.
I have to agree with my fellow dutchman AdminSmithee about the missing elements for better and easy administration. And will there be a search-option?
Because the standard joomla search can't find the tutorials.
This component is still in beta-status, so of course it isn't complete and bugfree yet, but I have all the faith because I see you are on the good way. :)
Keep up the good work and thank you for this. I will check this component regurly for updates.

I really like this Component, i was searching something like this for a long time. I succesfull install it on my site: www.code404.nl (check webtorials) and it was a breeze i needed to alter the php an bit to my likeness but it was'nt hard any experience joomla user should be able to handle this.
that was the good stuff
I do have some pointers and some critiq:
• It lacks a configuration at the back-end so all changes you wanted to make on how it looks and handle you have to change/hack in the code.
• It would be nice to have more control over the post/items at the front end as an admin so i can control the content (publish/edit/delete/move etc.)
• it also would be nice if it would work with a publish system, so that a admin could check content of the post before allowing it to going live
• on the back-end you don't have the option to insert an image after its published
Any way i think this is/will a very usable component i rated it an 4

This is a very good and easy to setup/use component. I have waited a long time for something like this - The name confused me a bit until I saw that it could be used like Digg/Pligg. Had been looking for a way to intergrate Pligg with Joomla but this component saved me.

I can't wait to see what kind of modules and add-ons this will have in the future. Installation was a little tricky, and probably not good for the newbs, but once this component is up and going, it is amazing.
The layout is super clean looking, similar to Digg (very nice).
I am still tinkering around with this component, so I don't know if there will be any big issues yet.
