Blogg-x is an amazingly sophisticated app that has saved us countless hours posting news to our site. Sadly the developer has not been seen in the forums since October and the last upgrade has a authentication issue that we can not fix.
Sure hope Chris gets back soon!

A very useful application by IanE, January 15, 2008

Updating a Jommla site is fine when you have a fast internet connection but if your only link to the outside world is a mobile phone with GPRS you're stuck. This application is the answer. Prepare your article off line and upload it in a flash. It's not yet perfect in that it lacks some functions that others have commented on (spell check would be good, I'd like to be able to change a few more of the publishing parameters and meta data) but when time is the issue you can probably manage without. The Blogg-x gives the impression of being well written and looks good to. Recommended.

Disabled Contact to my site by darkmattersfo, December 22, 2007

I had such great hopes for this product. Unfortunately, after I installed it I was not longer able access my site, nor the back end from any of the browsers I have installed at home (IE 7, Firefox, Opera) so I am not only unable to update the site from home (I can from other locations) but I also can't even get to it to see comments people have added to it from home.
I uninstalled the application but I still get a message
?You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address."
Posted to the forumn but heard nothing back. Also sent an email via the iobinary.com website but heard nothing back.

Great idea and useful by JoomlaShowroom, August 10, 2007

This is a very useful too for administrators of multiple sites. If you manage sites that you frequently need to post updates to and do not need to add images then this is fast and easy to use. I was skeptical of a GPL tool like this but it does seem to do the job well so far. I think I'll be using this tool for a long time to come.
Thanks for this neat little tool.

Well this is a super duper product.everything finished in a gif.great future.i registered in this site just to give a review for this product.really reduces the hardship of posting into the site.i was really lazy to follow the whole procedure of traditional posting.the best part is the uploading and using the images. In joomla it used to take me 20 mins to post ,now its 2 mins..cool ,5 stars for Blog-x
I would recommend changing the title,i ignored it most of the months :(

Although this is a VERY nice tool, i could not manage to upload images with it (definitely, there are many people that can't solve this problem which makes the tool practically unusable if you are not one of the lucky ones that have this feature working) and it looks like the developer abandoned the project or has no time for it, nothing new on the site since Nov. 06.

In general, it is a great software,
but I believe it needs more options, e.g., I myself would like to hack the sever file to
1. avoid posting the text header when copying pasting a text into the box.
2. After posting a content, the category should be remained on the previous one.

GUI does not support UTF8 text by dlevancho, March 11, 2007

I was amazed to see that application GUI does not support UTF8 text, its just one small setting changing font type, but obviously this mistake makes this product to be unusable for users that have categories in none english text.

language, UTF-8, mosimage handle by kashmirha, February 24, 2007

Very handy, very useful.
Some minor problems:
*Language (it would be so good to able to translate it!!!)
*Mosimage not usable
*Java windows
I would gave 5 star if the interface language would be translatable.
Sometimes it is not behaving like a normal windows application (open a new window under my opened windows, and I am not sure why nothing is happening). But this is because of the java window, I think.
Overall a great desktop tool specially for people who don't want to mess around the frontend/backend of Joomla, but trying to add content.
