 UPDATE: 2.13 Released (Joomla! 1.0.13 Support)
Blogg-X is a cross platform (OS X, Windows XP, Linux) content management tool for websites based on the Joomla! CMS. Blogg-X runs locally on your computer as a desktop application. Utilizing built in WYSIWYG and HTML source editors you can post rich content on your Joomla! site without the use of the web browser. What does this mean? How much time does it take to post news on your Joomla! site? Using Blogg-X there is no need to log into your Joomla! site, no clicking the “Submit News” link and waiting for the page to refresh, no waiting for the Joomla! WYSIWYG editor to load. Instead just start Blogg-X and immediately start adding your content. Need image support? Blogg-X has it! Want to browse the images already on your server? Blogg-X has it! Want to remove or delete posts? Blogg-X can do that! Want to write your post now, but save it to the hard drive for posting later? Blogg-X can do that! Want to post the same content to multiple sites? Blogg-X can do that! Want to know how many unpublished posts are on the server and publish them? Blogg-X can do that! Do you have multiple users posting content? Blogg-X can be used by all of them adding content at will, even simultaneously without causing conflicts or confusion. This is the best and most useful program I now have on my computer. The best part about it is that it work not only in Windows but also at a Mac or Linux computer. I have been running it on a Ubuntu (6.10) and Windows XP computer and i work as a charm!

I'm very impressed with the ease of use with this application. Set up was smooth and uncomplicated.
Within minutes I had several sites set up. It picks up the added sections and categories with each connection.
My only request is for a spell check !!! Yes .. a spell check is a future must have for this app.
I still give it 5 stars. |

I was at my wits end because my host has changed something, and I can no longer publish articles..nor can users submit articles. I just tried this great tool....and VOILA! I can publish my stuff...AND my users can email me their articles and I can publish them!
This was a breeze to install...and to work out how to use it...truly an amazing tool!

This very tool was why I choosed Joomla. I developped a site for journalists and it makes it really easy for them to publish without having to feel incompetent with the editor(s). Most of them are "old school" you see ;-). Of course the use of images requires a bit of knowledge of Joomla architecture and a few wits (sorry mac users). |

It works great and have a good potential for the future. Altough... It doesn´t boil the coffee for me but that´s pretty much the only of my needs that it doesn´t solve. ;) |

Great thanks for this app! It is really great! I've installed and had it running in some minutes, and everything works perfectly! The only thing that could get better is the dropdown menu to publish the content. I was looking some time for the button to publish my article.

Installed it on OS X 10.4.8 connecting to Joomla 1.0.11. It started up fine, connected to the site ok, but but hangs when you try to use it. Also, unlike other Java programs, it doesn't look like any OS X program; it actually looks like a windows program. The bottom line: It just doesn't work. Nice try, though. |

Just downloaded and put to use, and it will save me tons of time! Rich in features, handles multiple sites/users with ease.

Installed in a sec,
Images working in 5 minutes (using the forum).
It's a perfect workaround for the login hassle and the need for (buggy) WYSIWIG editors. It's all in this package!
You can even download your previous postings and edit them! And adding the images is soo easy. There's no table support and its a basic editor. It will fit most users. It can cleanup (Word/HTML) formatting when you PasteSpecial.
There's not much to add or improve. It's almost perfect already! Maybe remove the option to clear the fields after uploading (or make it selectable). |

I've been using the plugin for a while now, and I can't say I'm unsatisfied at all! The program isn't always too responsive on Windows and the GUI looks a bit weird when you're used to non-JAVA looks, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
Basically the two features this addon is missing are JoomFish support and image uploading, if these two would be added I wouldn't never be bothered to open my browser again for Joomla ;) |

Excellent application, and great with images. If only it responded to keyboard shortcuts in OS X, maybe in the next version. A must have in the Joomla toolbox. |
