Blogg-X is a cross platform (OS X, Windows XP, Linux) content management tool for websites based on the Joomla! CMS. Blogg-X runs locally on your computer as a desktop application. Utilizing built in WYSIWYG and HTML source editors you can post rich content on your Joomla! site without the use of the web browser. What does this mean? How much time does it take to post news on your Joomla! site? The component works really well for me. I'm using w.Bloggar for my Wordpress personal blog and always wish to have something similar for Joomla/Mambo. Good job!

As far as the GUI goes, excellent work. Nonetheless, the Action section on the top right, instead of just haveing an action dropdown box, can it be changed to the dropdown box, and a "Go" button? That will be a lot clearer. I was looking for a "save" button initially and was surprised that I coudln't find it. I think standard GUI elements and combinations will help usability (more universally understood.)

Also, the editor doesn't generate XHTML-compliant tag? Right now, I'm seeing the but not the XHTML-compliant . I haven't checked other tags but it does help to keep the web standard.

Again, great application! Highly recommended!

4.9/5.0 stars for now till it can generate XHTML-compliant code.

Just installed this great app.
Its simple to install and simple to use.
For updating contents on your site this is just neat. Don't even have to leave your computers desktop.
Just type and publish.

This is a good component if you don't need to add images. Makes it easy to content.
