Protos phpBB3 Latest Topics Module
Protos phpBB3 Latest Topics Module is a module for Joomla! 1.5 that displays the latest posts of your phpBB3 forum. Your forum and Joomla! installation need to be at the same server. The module uses the path to your phpBB3 directory (the path, not the address). It is currently in alpha2 release so inputs will be appreciated.

Nice but... by checksum123, May 13, 2008
Very nice module. This is exactly what I was looking for.
It would be even better if you add a tooltip that shows the first xxx words of the post when you move your mouse over the link.
Thank you for the module

It's a great module, works perfect, thank you for it!

Great idea, needs more. by buggy, March 28, 2008
Very nice integration idea, just needs some more options. It would be very helpful to be able to specify the specific forum ID's to show only topics from those forums, instead of the entire board.

Good Start by palebluedot, March 13, 2008
Works fine on my site however it desperately needs configuration options to hide admin-only or moderator-only topics from displaying.

Great mod, just something missing by gajotnt, February 29, 2008
Great module, whats missing is if its showing the latest topic why not make it so that when you click on a topic it goes to the last and newest post in the topic. that would make this module perfect :)

Great Mod! But one little problem by titanus_aegis, January 30, 2008
The installation was quick, results were good, I liked the options. I'm running it on Joomla 1.5 and phpbb 3.0 It was exactly what I needed. Except for one little thing: it can view ALL the sections in my forum, including the PRIVATE sections that I don't want anybody to read. The posts themselves can't be accessed by visitors, but private post subjects are displayed in the module along with public section post subjects. Unfortunately this is a dealbreaker since I enjoy my forum's privacy very much, but I hope this gets rectified in the near future. If it hadn't been for that I would've given this a 5.

True, currently working in my free time for the new version which will solve that.

Looking great! by michael_belanger, December 17, 2007

Although I cannot find a suitable place to display this module on my site, the installation and configuration of it took less than two minutes even for a new user like myself.

The parameters are very simple and streamlined; there's no garbage to sift through to get the thing to work and that is a definite bonus.
