Great little plugin: easy to install and works great! definitely recommended! :-)

Does not auto-post any more after the latest Joomla update. In addition, we always needed to manually remove the PL language pack from the zipfile because it refuses to install if that does not exist in your Joomla site. Would be much better if the plugin uses the proper router code to link to the article so that (1) you get SEF URLs and (2) modules will appear on the article because the menu/category are included in the URL. This plugin links directly to the article ID instead. Please resolve your web hosting issues as this is the only plugin that has Twitter-posting capability.

One of the very few fantastic and usable extensions, just add the feature for pinging my twitter when an article gets updated (can be made optional).

Great plugin indeed.
My only issue is that it also 'pings' Twitter for any new articles I create - even though they are set to 'Unpublished' status.

This will obviously create a 'page not found' error until we are ready to publish any article.

The only request I'd like to see implemented is to allow only public articles to be 'pinged' to twitter, or at least the option in the GUI to choose public, registered, private along side the normal sections and categories..

Tomasz has an amazing extension here. Twitter integration is available for other CMS's, like WordPress and Drupal, but Tomasz's extension goes much further.

After an article post, this extension retrieves the URL for the Joomla! article, converts the URL to a TinyURL interactively, behind the scenes, using curl, and sends the article title *and* the TinyURL to Twitter.

With it, you can help drive Twitter traffic back to your site. It's the modern day equivalent of a ping and it's a good example of how to take advantage of the power of a social network to generate more interest.

I very much recommend this extension. It is well developed and extremely functional.
