ALFcontact is a small 'Contact Us' form. In the back-end you link aliases to e-mail addresses, add accesslevels and set it to be published or not. In the Front-end contactform you get to choose to send emails to the alias or name without seeing or knowing the e-mail address itself. Just send it to Sales or Billing or Webmaster, of course you will only see those aliases you are entitled to send mail to.. If you're not logged in it will show inputboxes for adding reply info, once you're logged in, it will automatically show them for you.
Basically this is a small little component I started to get acquainted with the new Joomla 1.5 stuff.

1.7 - Fixed security issue, email addresses are no longer visible in the HTML source
- Added CSS classes for those who want to change the appearance of the form
- The 'Copy' checkbox on the form is now optional
1.6 - Added optional support for Bigo Captcha [http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3499/Itemid,35/]
- Added customizable text to show after sending
1.5 - Added customizable title and introduction text
- Languages are now supported through seperate language packs
1.4 - Added French, Swedish, Spanish, Catalan and Brazilian languages, fixed redirect bug
1.3 - Added standard behaviour in case of none or only 1 published entry.
1.2 - Added 'Default' option
1.1 - Added 'Send copy to own email address'
1.0 - Initial release

ALF contact worked great - simple install by Angelina007, October 8, 2008
I just needed a quick and easy app for site visitors, this was perfect, installed simply and worked great.

Thanks!

Wow! So simple, yet one of the most important components on my site! by evdboogaard, September 24, 2008
Alfred has done an outstanding job in creating this contact form that gives your users the opportunity to select the person/department to contact. The message is then delivered to any email address entered in the backend. No email address is revealed in the generated HTML code. This and the fact that you can choose to enable CAPTCHA makes this the contact form that's loaded by default on any of my sites.

Great extension! by Natasha111, September 19, 2008
It works right out of the box, does what says, it's easy to customise it and if you have questions, Alfred will email you back, straight away.
I specially like the pulldown option for different reciepients.

Great component and support.

Thank you! by baijianpeng, September 5, 2008
Now this component has the CAPTCHA support, that's great! Thanks to the author!

Great component, thanks by kalanit, June 1, 2008
I've been looking for a contact component for 1.5.3 for a few days. This works perfectly with no unexpected hickups! And it has a nice professional look on the front end as well. Thanks for the component.

Looking for a basic contact form that just works? This is it. by Sevenhelmets, May 24, 2008
This is a great little component. Installs straight out of the box, and does what it's suppose to. Incredibly simple - if you are looking for some complex "contact us" type of form, you are looking at the wrong one.

If, however, all your looking for is a simple yet effective way of letting your site visitors contact you, or various departments/sections of your company/organization/group, then this is the perfect one for you. I would consider this the next step up from the form included originally with Joomla.

Absolutely no complaints from a happy user.

Nice component by chanetsa, May 14, 2008
This is a very nice clean, easy to use contact form. I like the dropdown list to give visitors the choice of who to contact.

I will use it when I can add my own text above the form and choose where the thank you page goes to.

One last suggestion is to hide the actual email addresses when choosing "view source" in the browser.

Nice and Easy by trzl, February 19, 2008
I've installed this on 2 test sites and both were extremely easy.

I do get installation errors due to missing languages, but it still works.

I would suggest some features:

1.) ability to set a default subject line.
2.) ability to set a re-direct page after form is submitted.

Besides all that, this is easy and straight forward. Just how I like it.

Good Job! :)

Owner's reply:
I'm working on both options, pls contact me about the errors and I'll see about those too.

Good simple component by Sayonara, January 18, 2008
On my website I needed an alternative for the custom contact component in Joomla 1.5 because I needed a dropdown list to select the destination of the mail.
This component is ready for Joomla 1.5 and works like a charm without the legacy plugin activated.

Only nice thing would be to set a default selected item in the dropdown list

Owner's reply:
Thanks,

I'll certainly have a look at your suggestion, keep 'm coming..

Greetings,
