This is a really simple component for people who want to manage a very basic blog within their Joomla! website. If you're bored, like I am, about WYSIWYG editors and all their related problems (embedded videos and other multimedia objects, strange formatting results, useless paragraph and strange html symbols :p) try Prof3ta's Blog. Keyword here is "Keep it simple!". Write the HTML for your blog entries by yourself and your blog will be cleaner and better. I'm going to add categories, tags, rss and everything is needed. For now, look at this very simple version.

Now this is what I'm talking about, been trying all morning to get a blog thing to work, heres the steps for this...

1: download
2: install
3: got to components, select prof3ta blog and do what you want then, just go to main menu and add in a link to proj3ta, now that is simple and easy was done in like under 20 seconds..

Well done man..

Easy and smooth yet needs more feats by Dukessa, May 6, 2008

Thank you for this extremely easy to use extension.
It is indeed very simple and working smoothly!

Is there in a future developement, something to let users in a Community Builder environment, add their blog too?

Would also be useful to make the author appear, and to autocreate a category, for every new user that decides to put up their blog, with an archive column on the side for old posts.

Also, from the author name, a link to their CB would look good (with related tab in CB), and a thumbnail of their profile picture.

I'm just throwing in some ideas :)

Good job!!

I think that, despite the fact I like the extension simplicity, there should be given the option to use an editor, from the ones installed in Joomla already.
Just in case users dont know html tags.
