 Now yours users can showcase their personal Facebook Photos’ pictures on their Community Builder profile tabs, with FaboAlbum4CB. Using Ajax, FaboAlbum4CB lets your users select which albums they want to showcase, and have them displayed in their tabs. Once linked, the users' albums and tagged photos will be automatically retrieved. These photos can be scrolled and the viewers can click on a picture to view it in a higher resolution, all still within your web site.
Features:
1) Retrieves the photos that the user has on Facebook Photo. No need to upload again onto another external site. Doesn't use space on your site like an ordinary gallery may need.
2) Supports tagged photos.
3) Configuration page lists the albums for easy reference. Clicking on an Album name will display previews of the photos in that Album.
4) Ajax-based. Visitors to the profile do not need to refresh the whole page to scroll through the pictures.
5) Visitors do not need to leave your site to view your Facebook pictures.
6) Pictures can be viewed at a larger size without leaving your site by clicking on the Enlarge link.
7) Uses Facebook's infinite session key, so FaboAlbum can always display the user's Facebook pictures.
8) Users can choose to limit viewing of their photos to people inside their Connections list.

Prior to purchasing this plugin I'd read all the reviews from other users saying what a great support service Eric provided, which is one of the key reasons why I was happy to part with my hard earned cash. (I've had numerous JS problems, particularly with IE, so I suspected there might be a few glitches after installation).
Set up was extremely easy as the plugin pretty much runs itself. Connecting to Facebook is simple and straightforward, and I had no problems there. There was one slight conflict issue between the css of my site and FaboAlbum, but I simply got in contact with Eric and he solved it!
If you're having any reservations about paying for this plugin, then you shouldn't. It is really well put together and when you see the way it integrates with Facebook you will be extremely impressed. The user interface is professional and intuative which will make your users love it. And when it comes to support, Eric is friendly, patient and won't give up until he's solved whatever issue(s)you're having. |

This is a very useful, and user friendly CB plugin, that shows your facebook albums in your CB profile. Adding an album is very straight forward.
I had a javascript conflict after installing, I emailed support, who replied within 10 minutes and, after investigating, solved the problem. (Thank you Eric!)

I'm building a new community website and learning as I go!
Knowing that I needed something special to keep the members I attract I looked at photo hosting - not for me! Being a complete noob I found the setup ups for other internal gallery apps, complex and difficult to get my head round.
This external plugin for CB is everything I needed and the fact that it links to the ever popular FB means its worth its weight in gold, well it's certainly worth the small price I paid on Erics, professional and secure payment system.
The setup was easy, the only thing to prepare for is knowing what platform your website is hosted on, if your not sure ask your provider! Once down loaded I had a problem with intergration with the new versio of CB (RC3) however withn 2 hours of emailing Eric via his website, he had sent me a new zip with the problem solved!
Eric, keep up the good work - I'm off to see what other goodies I can purchase from you! |

What can I say. I was looking for the ultimate profile experience, and had already installed JSpaces (a must for any serious community site) before I stumbled across this.
There were several js and mootools conflicts that prevented this extension from working properly.
I am very happy to say that Eric took on board the issues and spent some time in coming up with a resolution. I now have a fantastic user profile experience topped off with this great extension.

This is a great plug-in for CB. My users love the fact that they can link to their facebook albums without uploading pictures to yet another web site. The interface is slick and I've received nothing but positive feedback after adding this functionality to our site.
I had a couple of issues with running an SSL certificate (https) and Eric immediately provided an updated file. Everything works great and the support is the best I've recieved (for any free or commercial plug-in/component).

I have set about launching a new social network to run alongside a music publication that I edit Music UK using Joomla.
The issue is that nowadays the giants have established themselves MySpace, Facebook and Bebo being ultra popular meaning that trying to establish something the same is a huge feat, well if you can't beat them, join them! FaboAbum means that not only can I save on bandwidth by linking directly to another network but my users dont have to upload their pictures to yet another network.
Great work and support was straight on it, one issue with the reg Key but one email and it was sorted.

This extension is outstanding for any community based site. Facebook is incredibly popular (to the point that employers check it to learn more about interviewies...you were warned!).
I've installed this extension on Joomla 1.5.0 stable utilizing CB 1.1 and it worked great. READ the readme file first as you need to implement an ioncube component for this to work properly. For Dreamhost users: most likely php5.2.3 you need the "lin-x86" directory file "'ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so"
Support was the fastest I've experienced in 3 years of using Joomla and it's components. It was also the most helpful and friendly help I've received in any forum or support structure.
I've used nearly every Joomla 1.0.x release and more than 40 components. This one looks to have lasting and reliable capabilities for 1.0.13 through, and beyond, any upgrades in 1.5.x.
Works great and takes advantage of the gozillions of dollars behind facebook. Always gotta laugh at those trying to compete with these multi-gozillion dollar corporations when these same corporations offer their data for free.
