I was forced to downgrade to joomla1.0x after tons of problems with Community Builder in joomla1.5. When using jm1.5 I love eventlist as it was neat, simple and well designed.

Happy that I found joomevent a duplicate of eventlist for jm1.0x. Most of the features and function are the same but the listing layout is quite disappointing not that it doesn't list, the choice of where to list is totally missing.

Eventlist
- Can list in almost any module position.
- There are 2 way to list events.
- List by latest or archived.
- Search plugin to allow events to be included in the search when searching from the joomla's default search function.

JoomEvent
- There is only one way to list that is presentable.
- The latestevent module is a disaster, it can't even list properly and break the web site template design.
- No searchbot or plugin.

If there is no comparison I would rate higher but it is duplicating eventlist, why the necessary useful modules & plugin are not duplicated as well?

Wow, first events package I've been able to pull down this weekend that actually installs and works as advertised! I like it, it's exactly what a band site needs for listing upcoming gigs and events.

Ran into a little trouble with the entry length of the URL field for venues on the back end - it's too short for today's long URLs like MySpace pages, which a lot of clubs are now using. I'm sure V. will take care of that, but excellent work so far! Keep it up! I'll keep working with it!
