New denVideo 3.0 is ready! getting better then ever! add support to mp3, divx, mp4, wmv, wma, H264, images(JPG, GIF, PNG), metacafe.com.

DenVideo now have better cross-browser support, with the embed technic called flashsatay flowing w3 standards and generating valid XHTML for flash based medias.

Now is possible to play mp3 files, windows media formats, and DivX videos using the divX webPlayer. Users now have advanced configuration options using the global plugin parameters, you can select what player you wish to use for MP3 or FLV medias, Set youtube API params and JW params.

But, fear not! It still as easy as before to play any format all you need is the good and old {denvideo URL} tag into your article, or {denvideo URL Width Height Autostart}, those parameters are optional if not set they will load the default plugin params.

JW Player is the worlds most famous open source FLV player on the web JW can also play MP3, FLV, SWF, H264 or playlists. DenVideo is the 1st joomla plugin to use the last version 4.0, JW can be fully customized on denVideo advanced parameters.

1PixelOut is a top ratted mp3 player for joomla that has been added to denVideo 3.0 it can be used to play mp3 files instead of JW Player.

I used to run AllVideos, but the new 100-lb gorilla Reloaded version introduced a lot of bugs so I gave denVideo a try.

What a great extension, the support was better than with any work I've ever done.

The reason I decided to write a review however is to talk about the load times.

I didn't realize how much the other product was bogging down my site until I switched.

denVideo is truly quick, it really loads as fast as possible, and my site is cruising now. Thanks 3den.

I first tried to use the v1.0 module on an old joomla site that I never got around to updating and denvideo worked, but generated errors on refreshing the page. Like I said, old site and the denvideo version for joomla1.x is old too.

However, the plugin/mambot for joomla1.x is fully up-to-date, so I gave that a spin instead. Works perfectly.

1) upload an flv into /images/stories
2) module --> New
3) ensure include mambots is turned on
4) custom content is just one centered line of two words!
{denvideo somename.flv}
That's it!

You can set default width, ht and autoplay or not in the mambot itself,so you don't have to keep typing it.

I love simple things that 'just work'. Great job, thank-you.

It doesn't get any easier than this! This takes all the work out of displaying a video in content.

It is working, which is good. It would be nice if there were more instructions on code parameters.

Like how to turn off autostart on google videos!

You can now join denVideo project at http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/denvideo/



To turn off the autostart just go to plugin params and set autostart = false, or {denvideo video.google.com/blablabla 400 500 false}, or edit the code, on the first line before the google video position insert:

$autoplay = 0;

Great job. Actually works with 1.5.1 which is more then I can say for most. How about a thumbnail/lightbox option, where it only displays a small thumbnail till the click then it resizes that one video to normal size in a lightbox... or something else quick.

I usually shy away from relatively new entries here but decided to give this one a try anyway.

Wow! Was I ever glad that I did. :)

Installation was flawless and it just works. Type in the tiny amount of code required and Bam! the video is there and looks and works great.

Thanks for such a great plugin!

Very easy to use. I added it to my site and within mins well not soo long about 1.5 min the video was running. The only thing I would of really liked would of been to get it to function within a custom module. Because that's where i really wanted the video to play, but if i have to put it into a content then I would

There are a few of these mambots that allow you to place media into content items, but denvideo is the one that I personally use. I love it because it is fast and simple and it is easy to change the dimensions of the video.

I was looking for something new, what I could play on J 1.5 stable, since the old plugins don't work only in legacy mode. This plugin works for me.
