MoeScroll - Scrolling Content Module v1.0.8 Module

MoeScroll provides a smooth javascript based content scroller that is capable of scrolling plain text, images & html. It is a very simple module but allows the user to control aspects like: pause on mouseover, pause at end of each page, scroll speed, pause delay and much more. If you are using an older version of this module please update ASAP! If you use this module please rate & review it! If you are running Joomla 1.5 please use the MoeScroll Advanced for Joomla 1.5.x series.

This is a great little mod, doing ecactly what it should : scrolling text - not headlines etc.
You can type in any text and set speed and other things.

What´s needed is a way to edit font size, and even font colour and the font itself would of course be very lovely..
If you want the scroll just a single line or two at the time, it's pretty difficult to find the excact high for the scroll box - this could be guided somehow.
I can't figure out how the link thing is working (could me be.. ;) ), likewise the posibility to ad a ID for scrolling a certain content item : not working to me..

Let's have these features (specially font size and colour!) and this will get all 5 points and EXCELLENT from me!

In order to specify font size and color you can simply enter the HTML into the "Text to scroll" box. It is easiest to create a content item, format it the way you want it and then copy / paste it into the module settings. If you are using joomla 1.5 I would recommend upgrading to our MoeScroll Advanced which provides many more features and smoother scrolling.

On Safari (Mac) it pegs out the CPU's. I have seen this one other time for another JS scroller I ran across on the net.

Congratulations on your first public module! It works like a charm! I have tried many modules that interfere with other mods or components, this one doesn't. There's nothing much to do and it's so easy to configure, even I could do it!

The only 'shortcoming' if you'd call it that, is it takes a little time to start scrolling but my settings may have something to do with it. I would consider a shortcoming the module not working or if it were still loaded but unpublished, like so many others I have because of conflicts with others mods and components.

MoeScroll is recommended by this user. I have my chat and forum rules scrolling, thanks to MoeScroll!
