A simple accordion menu system for Joomla. The accordion menu can either be triggered on mouse over the menu or by clicking to expand the menus. Only the first level is expandable, all following levels are automatically expanded though all further levels are fully indented.

Now compatible with Joomla 1.5 with Legacy switched on.

Now validates to XHTML 1.0 Transitional, see http://joomla15.simplebydesign.co.uk to test validation. (Requires module parameter set and CSS copied to template CSS file)

Awesome Support by bairey, July 16, 2008
I found a bug and asked about it on the Simple Limit forums. They answered within a day and had new code for me. I could not be more impressed! The mod itself is very easy to install and use. Love it! I tried a LOT of menu systems and this is the best.

Great Tool by tvigar, June 18, 2008
Hi, this is a nice easily customizable menu system... Thank you very much!

The only issue I find with it is that it uses 4 javascripts... which can cause some web optimizing page load speed reductions.

Other than that, it's simple, easily customizable to suite your website...

All i needed by bridh, May 29, 2008
Thank you for providing this wicked module,
A job very well done.

I just upgraded to 088 version and now it works better.

OnMouseClick issue by Lumberjack, May 24, 2008
The module is great!
I hope next version will solve the problem with OnMouseClick for the top level menu items.

An excellent result for me by cantthinkofanickname, March 19, 2008
I needed a scroll down area at the top of my content. Normally this would be a readmore type action but I wanted a hover action. So I setup a module and created a single menu item as a "Placeholder" then submenu items for the clickable destinations. Support is also very good with responses within an hour or so.

Simply the Best by Barfly, March 14, 2008
Amazingly simple. Straight forward implementation. Easy to customize.

Not to mention the best support you can get.

It's definitly a MUST HAVE.

It is great menu thanks developer.

Awesome - exactly what I needed by tsanne, March 1, 2008
I'm glad somebody asked for an update for 1.5 because when I tried this in late January it didn't work. Now, with the latest patch, it works beautifully on my 1.5 implementation. Very nice. Thank you!

What I was looking for!! Gret support too! by e_builds, February 27, 2008
Exactly what I was looking for, a simple drop down or accordion menu without too much configuring.
And what a support I got when it didn't work on my J 1.5!! Almost immediately a patch has been brought out. (SEF problem also fixed).

(Dunno if the patch is in their DL's, but at least you can find it here:
http://www.simplebydesign.co.uk/forums/19-sbd-accordion-menu/110-renot-working-on-joomla1.5-with-legacy-on.html#110)

Owner's reply:
The latest released version now supports Joomla 1.5 and it is now supported in legacy mode on version 0.8.0 of the module and above.

Champ! by LJR, February 26, 2008
I don't have to mess with Mootools. This one is very easy to install and set it up. Even though, I had a minor problem with IE7 and it was my template CSS. Support person detected and helped me fix the problem.

Very neat module by nohurry, February 25, 2008
This is a very neat way of dealing with a lot of submenus. It works great, but I had to turn off 404SEF to get it to work, which I've replaced with ARTIO-JoomSEF.

It really got me out of a hole and the support from Mathew was staggering - he actually took the time out to get into my site and help sort out the issues. I love support like this!

Excellent menu module, would recommend by Hammy, February 21, 2008
Used this module to replace D4J Transmenu. Worked perfectly straight from the install, made some minor changes to the CSS and it fit with the design of my site nicely.

Definitely one of the better free menu modules

Exactly what I was looking for... but... by faubrey, February 11, 2008

It would be great if the selected menu item remained expanded after a click. Would save the user from re-expanding the menu over and over again. Otherwise... fantastic, and quite slick

Owner's reply:
We have just released a new version of the menu which now allows the top level menu to stay expanded when a top/sub menu is clicked to which we believe solves the issue described here. It can be turned on/off as desired.
