Very useful plugin by gbianchi, May 19, 2008
This extension does very well its job, that is to help partially sighted users to better access my site, by adding an icon or a text near the article you want to listen to.

It lets you choose if all articles will have this feature or only the ones you want. The style is also customizable, to fit your pages layout.

Great idea and well written plugin.
Thanks a lot!

Great mambot well written and it works by kili, March 10, 2008
This is an ideal feature if you have a website which you want to give access to the partially sighted or blind users. I think all Joomla sites should use this mambot as a way of supporting hearing disabled users.

You have an option of female or male voices and the text read back is better than I expected. I can’t speak for the other language options (As I cant speak any of them) but for English it’s an excellent functional tool for the hearing disabled and manages to negotiate the text almost flawlessly occasionally the odd difficult word may sound wrong but overall an excellent pass rate in my view. I will be using this on my local mencap website as this was something they requested sometime ago but had to pay for using another product but thanks to Lee and others this has made it possible to use at no cost.

Lee answered my request for this to run on the frontpage articles within an hour via email and even supplied me with the updated zip file.
Excellent work Lee and many thanks.

Easy to install and use - allow color enhancements would be excellent by jjmackow, February 22, 2008
Thanks very much for bringing vozMe to Joomla. It works very nicely. I made one modification to the XML and PHP script which allows me to change the button color and css attributes within the button.
Right now , 2c has the button set to white with black text. I added a css field to the XML setup file for mdoifying the style and changed my personal settings for it to orange for the button and whiteto the text. Since this feature is most useful for visually impaired people, a button that stands out is going to be optimal. I also added a CSS vozMe.button:hover rule so it changes when the mouse is atop of it.

One major request I have is the ability to put all of the js and php code onto the joomla hosted site rather than on the vozMe server. This way the entire system is self contained on one server and doesn't have a dependency of the vozMe.com site being accessible.

Thanks for the feedback!

Version 2G now has the images and javascript packaged with it.

2G also allows you to customise the css for button layout

Wonderful by icwebmaster, February 20, 2008
Great job so far, but lacking French.
Only choices are English/Spanish and Italian

I would love to see auto detection of multi-language added to this or at least a drop down selection of language choices.

Example in sites that support the three major languages of English/Spanish and French which for many international sites this is a standard.

In our case, many of the sites programmed are as this and does not require any other languages. These 3 languages cover many international sites that deal with real estate, money exchange and other.

The addition of accessibility support in this manner would greatly improve a sites willingness to conform to being more then just a webspace.

Great for Site for Disabled by ioo, February 17, 2008
I have a site for disabled gamers, and this really helps me help my end users with sight issues.... GREAT JOB!

Very Cool by withrhythm, February 16, 2008

nice mambot... It would be nice to be able to close tags around certain paragraphs of an article... somewhat opposite of {vozme no} (which has already become a very handy feature.)

{vozme}paragraph{/vozme} or paragraph

But I really love this one and am sure I have a wonderful use for it. Could really help in the area of assisted internet browsing.

PS. The icons were quite large and they should be stored in 'M_images' instead of getting them from vozme.com So I modified them and stored them on my server.

nice idea!

I'll see what I can do

I like this extension, it works out of the box: Ann additional icon appears on specified content. I suggest additional voices in many languages, basically. This bot brings the opportunity for disabled to access online text!

Works Great by flukie, February 14, 2008
Works fine and a great addition to our news site.

Good! by vixmoa, February 13, 2008
Just works!

Only one suggesion: Ability to choose the language: Spanish, english or french. It's easy change in the mambot, example: just write "es" instead "en" if you want the spanish version, but if it could be choose in the backend.

Thank you Lee!

Excelent Concept by CyberMiq, February 13, 2008
Weldone!! this is an excellent new concept that you brought to Joomla life! I hope that user will appreciate what you have done!

Love the idea by muslimways, February 12, 2008
Have to say it's very very impressive, but perhaps adding few more voices would be bonus.
