The PHP Speedy Plugin for Joomla will install PHP Speedy, as well as allow you to configure each of its settings through the Plugin parameters. PHP Speedy is a PHP library designed to optimize the download speed of your PHP website. It merges multiple JavaScript and CSS files into a single file, minifies them, and also uses Gzip for on the fly compression of the HTTP output.

Do not download this! After install ... login impossible, downloads impossible, forum problems, css problems. It is really not extension. Sorry.

500 Internal Server Error after Login - Big Problem by farmerdon, March 31, 2008

Over the past number of weeks I had a big problem on my website in relation to user login. You can read about it here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=278311

After painstakingly going through my website, database, server and just about every fine detail, I managed to narrow it down to this module. I couldn't figure out what the problem was but the second I uninstalled the plugin the problem was corrected.

On the other hand I did notice an increase in the download speed of my site.

Great plugin. I'm using Joomla 1.0.14 with SEF enabled and combined with page cache, the result is speedy.
Thanx for this plugin, wait for stable release.

Installed and run with no problems at 1.0.14.
Page seems to load quicker enough, specially if it is mostly text.
