J!Analytics is a new Joomla 1.5 only module which inserts Google Analytics code into your web site pages.

Google Analytics allows you to track visitors to your web site and much more. For more information on Google Analytics and to get your Analytics ID visit http://www.google.com/analytics.

J!Analytics uses the latest ga.js script from Google as default and also allows you to use the legacy urchin.js script as well.

Satisfying simplicity by GTWillemsen, August 7, 2008

Very easy and stable:

download, login as admin on your site and install.

Open module, give your google UA code in (copy paste from google) - offcourse you need a google account for this -
Enable the module (preferable in the lowest position there is (i.e. footer)) and it works like a charm!

Thank you for this simplicity!

Of course you can make a theme/template with google analytics integrated, but working with such a module has a lot of advantages (install / deinstall, enable/disable on certain sections of your site, make a duplicate install to even use more UA codes (on different pages)etcetera.

The module is really so simple it takes a lot to mess it up. I tried all of the top rated modules for analytics and none were as easy as this one. Also, the others had confusing parameters that were completely irrelevant.

For those that have trouble setting up. Follow the install guide on the website and give it some time to take affect. I did everything as stated, only it took a few minutes to kick in...which usually isn't the case.

Simple install, looks good, and is working great. Have my data from google and all is well. Assuming that there are no hidden ads embedded somewhere, I would say this is the simplest mod I have done.
