Multi Publishing Content for Joomla 1.5
Publish Content in Multiple Joomla Sites. This is a component for publishing your contents from a main site to your multiple remote sites. You can send to these sites many articles at once, what makes you save your time. From your admin interface you can easily:
-> Classify your multiple sites into categories, so the content can be sent to a category instead of choosing sites manually.
-> Copy the content sections and categories from the main site to the remote sites.
-> Choose your articles and the destination sites and send the content in just one click.

No need to contact your Hosting Provider:

It is made in a way that you don't need special permissions to access to the remote database. It is achived by installing a wrapper in the remote site from which the component can access to the database. Your security is not compromised because the wrapper needs the db settings to work, and they are only stored in your main site.

No limit in the number of sites to manage:

You can add as many sites as you want. If you manage a big amount of sites, we reccommend you to define a category tree and then classify the sites among the categories created.

Multi Publishing Content does not limit the amount of content you can publish to your multiple sites:

The only limitation you will find on the publishing process is set by your hosting provider, because the connections and data transfers take a long time. If your hosting provider doesn't offer you a reasonable max_execution_time, we reccommend you to install the component in a localhost you can control. Maybe this is the best solution to take the maximum out of the Multi Publishing Content.

I have waited 2 years for this! by dstjames, March 26, 2008
I have literally been waiting for 2 years for a component that does exactly what this component does. I have a master Joomla 1.5 installation that then serves out content to about 50 child sites in variations of 1.0.xx and 1.5. I downloaded and installed this... total time 10 minutes. I downloaded and installed the Ioncube php requirements. Another 10 minutes. I configured the component to pump out test content to 10 sites. Took me about 30 minutes. Then I sent the content out from the component.

All up I had the biggest time-saver of my development career going in just over an hour. I promptly paid for the component and am now rolling it out across my network of sites.

Having this installed will save me around 10 hours per week in administration of child sites. All for 5 Euros. Jooglar Dude... you are a dead-set legend. Thank you so much! I am fully keen to see what else this guy can develop and release.

I am more than happy to provide a reference for this component to anyone who asks.

Owner's reply:
Wow, I am so glad to read this. It's really good that is working as I firstly thought, saving time!

I'll keep thinking on what else to develop or how to improve this component because almost everything is already invented. By the moment, any ideas are accepted!

Thank you very much for your review.

It does what it claims. Really simple by earl45, March 23, 2008
Maybe nothing new to say but it is such a good component. It does what it is described in the component website and my needs are satisfied. Now I can publish multiple articles at the same time.

It worked with the majority of the sites, but I had problem with one of my subsites. I think it must be the firewall that my hosting has set (it's a free hosting account) because it doesnt connect to the FTP. However, the component goes very well.
Good experience.

Owner's reply:
As you say, it is possibly the hosting firewall. While doing my testing on the component I had the same issue.

I regret to say that I can not do anything for this, because this problem is related to the hosting.

Try contacting your hosting provider and tell them if its possible to access via FTP your destination host.

Thanks for your review.

Very Good Component by pepe12345, March 17, 2008
It does exactly what it says. Once I have set up my remote sites and checked that they work properly, I can send all my contents to them.
The server in which I have the component installed is very limited, so the max_execution_time limits the publishing of massive contents (i mean an amount of 30 or 40 articles at once, whats such a huge quantity). However, I installed it in my localhost and I see no limitations, it succeeded at publishing 10 articles to 4 different sites at once!

So as far as I can see is the best quality-price ratio.

Effectiveness with no limit by lolaae, March 13, 2008

Well, the best thing I see in Multi Publishing Content is the big amount of content that can be sent to many sites at the same time, but I have to use it on localhost to get the best out of it. When I use the component in my online hosting, it seems to exceed the time limit ONLY when publishing big amounts of contents (+10-15).
Anyway, I like the effectiveness of the component and that I dont have any limitation in the number of sites I can add to my list.

Everything fine. No problem at all. by falete, March 13, 2008

Everything alright. The website has plenty of information about the component (screenshots, faq, forum, etc.) and, if you still dont know how it works you can have a trial for 7 days.

I tried it and then purchased the Full license. No problem at all. I keep saving a lot of time when publishing the same content to my sites.

Save a lot of time. Easy to use. by topolivan, March 13, 2008

Cool! Far the cheapest and easiest to use.

I manage various sites and sometimes I need to copy and paste the same contents in all of them. I save lot of time centralizing my work in just one site.

The best thing is that I can publish content to remote sites that are hosted in different servers and I haven't needed to contact my hosting provider for any permissions.

It is even possible to copy the sections and categories from my main site to the remote ones and publishing content in the selected remote categories.

Great!
