Mini Frontpage Remixed by Daniel Duvald
If you liked the original “Mini Frontpage” module, your gonna love this remixed version I have created. The original “Mini Frontpage” is a very popular module, but contains bugs and missing features that I believe is essential for a broader usage. I have modified the module, so you can use it multiple times on your frontpage or any other page to get a more “news portal” feel to your website. I have added new ways to display date, author and now also the hour of day article is created. You can also add a text before author name e.g. Written by [Author name]. It’s now also possible to make an offset (do not display first X articles). You can define a prefix for your images (usefull if you use the module more then once with different image sizes) and you can define allowed tags e.g. that is passed on with the text.

A great modification by ajushi, March 26, 2008
Gives our beloved mfp more flexibility! Awesome mod. I just wish I could edit the CSS for this mod somehow. mfp users should give it a try!

Outstanding Work by FidelGonzales, March 22, 2008
This is an outstanding improvement of the original version. The available module options has increased dramatically and logically, making easy work for those looking to add the flavor for a news portal to their site.

The greatest improvement to the management of news is the ability to offset the news articles in the secondary module, so that there is no redundancy, which would allow you to place a separate module between the two main news modules. An advertisement might work well for this method, but there are obviously other uses.

My recommendations would be to make the full story link text and header title default to nothing, which would eliminate having to remove those options every time the module is updated - for those who do not want any text whatsoever.

Also, the ability to handle CSS or text display from within each separate module displayed would be a great addition, since you no longer would have to utilize FTP and create separate CSS classes for each.

Thanks, again. Great work, Daniel.

Looks like the insects are gone by Mindvacant, March 21, 2008
I'd been using the original version for a while but had to limit it to displaying on one page because of its sometimes "buggy" behavior.

This new version, as far as I can see, has eliminated the quirks.

Thanks
