This is the new release of the usefull content item comments tool : !joomlacomment. Fast and light to use, Ajax support, BBCode, smilie, templates choice and multilanguage support. Features: + mail, website input + notification + rss feed + THREADED / nested comments + ajax + UBB code + picture support + template support + emoticon support + frontend/backend moderation interface + multilanguage support (encoding supported by the php iconv library) + antispam protection(captcha, ban, censorship, ...) + avatars + quoting + import from AkoComment Supported languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Italian, German, Norwegian, Spanish, Turkish, Greek, Hungarian, Persian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese.

Good System, lacks few things by xception, May 7, 2008

I actually unlike some of the other reviews went the other way around, i switched from JomComment ( pro ) to JoomlaComment - the biggest reason for me is this is a far lighter component and its integration is less troublesome and they actually do use version numbers not build numbers which are difficult to track

The only downside to this component is its lack of spam triggers it would be nice if the badword filter which transforms from bad to acceptable also provided an "auto delete upon words" so a spam zappper could be put to use

Wasn't the greatest component to be honest. I used it for quite a while and it worked, but then there were numerous problems like it putting spaces in links where there weren't supposed to be spaces, and stuff like that. I ended up switching to JomComment which worked very nicely :)

Nesting of quote is little buggy!
Only first quoting work, every successive ones fail.
Apart from that I like everything else.

Thanks for writing this, I was about to start writing my own code for the comments but this definitely saves me lots of development time. It installs with no problem, I got the Joomla 1.5 and works great.

This was very easy to install and works well - no complications at all. I am very surprised that it's free - it is such an excellent component - commenting component that is stress free, 10/10 in my books.

I took my time in evaluating various options, but JoomlaComment is hands-down the best choice regardless of whether you're considering the commercial or non-commercial choices available. What makes this product outstanding is not only the feature set, which is comprehensive to say the least, but the support - blew me away!

Ok, I've found my way to the review and voting...I first installed and implemented joomlacomment..it worked..then I went and stuck my fingers into the "SETTINGS" ..LOL I added a comma to the end of my "Bad Words" it caused errors on my screen..I posted a "help" message with the description of the FALSE so called bug...Alain responded quickly and helped me solve MY problem..LOL anyway..EXCELLENT features..EXCELLENT response and help..I can't say enough for such a valuable FREE program...Thank you guys for giving me what my users were begging for...thinking about trying this? DOWNLOAD this script!!!..There is NO other program that is better! - Guys, soon as I get back on my feet, I'll send you a little $ to help out...I don't even have a dollar to spare...IRISHMAN (David)
