The Custom Footer Module for Joomla! 1.5 is a native Joomla! 1.5 module that you can use to display a footer on your website containing the text “Copyright ©” + the current year + four parameters (see example below):
• Site Name
• Separator
• Text on line 1
• Text on line 2.

The parameters are text fields and support plain characters, which are then converted into HTML character entities by the Custom Footer Module when displayed :-)

Here is a example of use:

Design by Philippe Borowek | Hosting by MyProvider.ch

• Separator = “|”
• Text on line 1 = “All rights reserved”

… and “Copyright © 2008” is generated automatically.

The current production version (1.0.1) fixes character set and double and single quotes escaping issues. The character set used can be specified from a drop-down list. Following character sets are supported: ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-15, UTF-8, cp866, cp1251, cp1252, KOI8-R, BIG5, GB2312, BIG5-HKSCS, Shift_JIS, EUC-JP. Both double and single quotes are automatically escaped.

Good idea but not working in hebrew language (utf-8)

i really like this module. Even we can edit the footer in footer file, this module make the footer more customizable and easy.

Hi,
This module is perfect if you are struggling to get rid of the joomla is free software line. With this module you can eliminate that line and put your info there all in one move.

It's super easy. What I did was disable the default footer and then I enabled the Custom Footer module. And, you make you entries right inside the module's page.

Very easy. Thank you. I will be using this for ALL of my sites.

Doesn't work with french language by mejean, March 23, 2008
