S4J Remote Admin is worth the time it takes to register, and is a must try for anyone that would like to experiment with an alternative way to enter data for Sections, Categories, and Articles. I particularly like using the tool when setting up a new site from scratch.
Basically S4J Remote Admin is an inline editor that allows you to sync with your website and work "offline", until you're ready to publish, a.k.a. synchronize, your changes to your Joomla! website.
PROS:
The sleek, quick, intuitive interface of the tool allows for quick editing of the Section, Category, and Article elements. Each of these elements has a detailed, intricate view that once initially synced, is much quicker than navigating and editing with the web based administration.
I have found that this tool is also great when you need a little help "getting your head around" a large site, or when returning to work on a site you haven't administered in a while.
CONS:
The tool lacks a WYSIWYG editor, for those that require one.
I personally would completely forgive this shortcoming if there were some code highlighting in the HTML editor.
Registration on their website and then within the application makes everything a little more difficult, especially if you haven't used the application in a while and you need to add a new site.
You may want to bookmark the installation documentation, so that you can return when you have problems:

Here are the refresher notes I took for myself when I had to relearn the process:
If your website is offline, according to the S4J Remote Admin application:
1. Remember to enable the S4J Remote Admin plugin
2. Remember to "Enable Web Services" under Global Configuration -> System
Also:
3. Remember you have to add URLs for each of your Joomla! websites to your online profile at http://www.software4joomla.com
4. If you have a new site, add it to your online profile, open the local application, then click on register - do this every time you add a new site.
Overall this is a great tool. I hope to see it developed further!
