The frontend can't use my language file by baijianpeng, August 19, 2008
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:
This is a very good Newsletter component. I gave it 4 stars because I found something need to be improved.

1. The frontend can't use my language file, though I had already uploaded my Chinese translation. At the same time, the backend can use my language file. So the author should check the mechanism of frontend multi-lingual support.

2. When I choose All from the Display # list at frontend, this component said "No results were found", but when I chose the number of 5, it can show me the sample newsletter there. Then, do you mean All can't include the one showing in 5 ?

3. The author offered language file for the module, but I can't find those parameters in this language file. Please add them so I can make a complete translation.

Thanks to the author(s)!

lazy backup downloaders beware by sirbronson, August 12, 2008
Although the shining reviews may be a positive apparently there has been some warning not to install on certain servers.

Refer to a review on lazybackup and how demo mode continues to backup over and over causing a concern with server overloads.

Owner's reply:
Hi - lazybackup has nothing to do with this program - and works on most sites like everything else in here :o)

Those who have serves not good to joomla cant expect all extensions to work correct however !

Really a nice component by glauco.b, July 20, 2008
I was looking for a general purpose and simple newsletter component, and this one really fits my needs. The only limit is you have a single newsletter for the whole site.

Honor to the component developers!

There are only two small things i'd like to see in future releases:
1- A news classification flag, to distinguish between public and registered news
2- Simpler news list in the frontend only the title and publish date, with a link to the full letter

by the way, a very good component

Great component by thepezguy, June 9, 2008
Easy to set up and very effective. I had a small problem at the beginning but thanks to great support from the creator on his forum I worked through it no problem. I recommend this to anyone looking for newsletter component. Cant wait to see what the next release holds. Thanks Stefan!
