Great looking forms, and high powered apps by psrch, November 27, 2008

I've used FacileForms since very early in my web development career, and loved both the easy of creating portable (between sites) forms and the amount of power available to develop killer forms-based applications.
However, I have decided - for many reasons - to develop exclusively for Joomla 1.5. For one thing, future CMS development will almost certainly be based largely on 1.5; not only that, but as we've all been informed, the end of life for Joomla 1.0 is coming mid-2009. I am in the process of migrating my sites to 1.5 to take advantage of security and performance updates.
As has been mentioned here, the developers of FacileForms have refused to port their product to 1.5, saying that "there is little demand for 1.5" and "we are waiting for Joomla 2.0." whenever that may be released.
I had tried most of the forms creators built for 1.5, and found most of them lacking, either in ease-of-use, look of the forms, or power of the applications that could be built. The absolute best component available for 1.5 forms is BreezingForms.
The PHP / Javascript power to build custom applications for my clients is still there, as is the simplicity of "basic" forms (contact forms, for example). This means that forms are fairly easy to create, with the power there if you want it.
One of the best features ported from FacileForms is the ability to export and import forms from one site to another. This allows me to create a set of standard forms which can then be customized. Another (commercial) component doesn't have that capability, which is a disappointment. Many forms are reused; this allows me to automate the routine and concentrate on the custom.
The fact that forms are transferable from FacileForms to BreezingForms is another benefit. I have nearly 50 sites that I am migrating to 1.5; because I can migrate the forms as well, my migration workload is cut significantly.
If you are familiar with FacileForms, you will find little new with this component. But that's not a problem - the greatest thing about Breezing is that it is compatible with Joomla 1.5.
I highly recommend it!

This component is really excellent. Works flawless and I love the fact of no hidden ads. Great back-end interface, although drag and drop didn't work for me. Thanks to the developer!

Simply the best form extension! by finddarkpoet, November 6, 2008

I've tried almost all the free form extensions, ChronoForms, Artforms, SmartFormer, no one could feed my need. Finally I found Breezingforms, the way it works is very different from other form extensions, also involves a little bit learning curve, but it the same as Joomla itself, play around with it's component and module, soon you will find how powerful it is. It's way beyond my imagination. The best I get out of this is that, the author and the designer of Breezingforms are the most helpful programmers I've ever met. I was having some problems using it, they solved all the problems and make me feel like a royal customer even though it's FREE!

I'm using this on all of my websites now. It does take a little bit of learning to use, but there is a VIDEO tutorial to help you get going. After that, it is TRULY a breeze. Also, the programmer is very helpful and encouraging. This is a lot more powerful than just a forms component, but it makes short work of creating a form. Drag-n-drop items on the form to set it up. Create tooltips easily to help your users fill in the form. Add captcha or not...whatever you want. Verify just the parts of the form you want. There is a back-end component to see the data gathered by your forms.

I've never reviewed anything on here before, but after trying every other form component finding this has made my day. It does everything I wanted from a form for free, painless installation and easy to use form creation make this a great component.

Worked great by hkeyzer, August 18, 2008

Had to migrate a site from 1.0.15 to 1.5, and use an existing FF form, all went well exported old form and imported into new site with Breezingforms.
Then created new forms on other sites, no problems. Everything I had learnt with FF I was able to apply with Breezingforms, hence I am happy to recommend this extension to other users.

I'm using it on test purpose since a long. I found initial facile package was not working I wrote on forum & got wuick answer & new package that supported it. It has better interface than facile form. Every thing of facile form working here properly & guy has very quick in replying your topics at form.
Also it has valid xhtml code & I like to use this in my sites contact form rather than joomla core form.

I've tried a different number of formmakers but in the end this seems to be the one. Relative easy setup, nice examples, not to difficult to create forms and last but not least: great support! Please, a round of applause for TheMuffinMan.

Thank you very much for developping this excellent extension. Works perfectly and fits to my needs entirely. I recognized a little bug: absolut positions of form elements are sometimes quite messy in preview mode. "messy" means: displaced by 3 or 4 pixels. In the end it shows up correctly, i only talk about preview mode...
Keep up the very good work!

Thank you so much for this update to Facile Forms. I am a long time user and have been waiting for the 1.5 version. Works great, nice upgrades. Only tick seems to be the backend form preview/iframe - it's a little tweaked but that could just be me.
Thanks again!
