This component allows you to create automatically a menu based on the sections-category-content items hierarchy. This is very useful if you create a lot of content and don't want to update the menu by hand!

Version 2 is available for download which allows you to specifiy several menus!

Also check out the beta version that allows to specify a template for each menu and a module to be displayed on each of the generated menu items!

Works great - I just needed to fix the alias field by liam28, September 17, 2008

Works great, but I found one bug where the alias field did not move over to the menu from the section, categories, articles alias field. A quick edit of admin.automatic_menu.html.php and editing the 2nd ->title to ->alias worked for me on lines 130, 147, 187, 203, 237

Yes it does automatically generate a menu of all sections/categories/articles.

But even unpublished sections/categories/articles are all become published in the automatic menu.

Even trashed/archived articles are published, can you imagine how the menu look like?

During our tests our component didn't have this behaviour... We'd be glad if you could help us finding the bug as this is, of course, not desired behaviour... So if you have some time, could you post to the forum or write us a mail about the version you're using?

Just what you need if you have a lot of categories and articles : just click update, you don't need to update by hand your menu!
