Best module I've come across yet!
Would be nice to get the flags - also does not work as smoothly with IE 6 as it does with Firefox. Haven't yet tested on IE 7.
Also you would need the fonts installed on your comp to test fully. |

this extension works EXACTLY as advertised. Took what like 20 seconds to install, enable module, BAM, 20 some different languages. awesome work.
1. i did have to add a class tag and modify the width in the default.php, so I could shorten and modify how it looked. took another 20 seconds.
2. you can only login using the english language. i'm not too worried about that yet. still working on getting english speaking customers. :)
bottom line: this module kicks ass. super easy. wish all modules would be this simple. thanks! |

I installed it and it works great for a website with English content that needed to be translated to Spanish.
What about adding the option to add a RSS option? News from different sources dynamically being translated using your module. |

I am not new to Joomla, but I am new to translations on websites. I have spent months trying to translate with Joomfish but just can not fathom it out. This module now translates all my site to all the languages i need.
Well done, works straight out the box even for a newbie to trans like me. I will be checking your other mods and comp out.

This is an excellent extension.
In my opinion, the current version needs 2 enhancements or fixes:
a) Login only works in English language. In all other languages, user cannot loggin and also Joomla "thinks" that user is not logged in, even though English language shows user logged in with details.
b) In some languages, some translated text are displayed on top of each other, or overlapping. Owner's reply: When Google is translating your page, it can't see non public areas of your page to translate them, that's why you can't login. |

I installed it no problem, worked right out of the box.
If I could suggest adding...
module_class_suffix to the module parameters.
And perhaps a parameters to fix how wide the drop down box is.
It seemed to expanded itself to whatever position I put it in.

Well, the module works just fine.
Nothing to say there, it's great, it does exactly what I need.
But....
I had to remove it, since the translations are absolute rubbish.
Very disappointing. I'm pritty good in Dutch, French, English and German. I translate from French to other languages.
The translation is abolute not correct. There is not one sentence translated correct and understandable. Really a pity such a fine mod, but unusable.

Pro: Installs and works easily so even the beginner can use it! Absolutely no complaints on install or execution. Easily configurable through the default template.

I needed to install it twice as the first time didn't worked but the second time just went perfect!

Very good translation tool indeed, glad that this module exist. Very easy setup, working great.
My suggestion – there is already several languages on Google translate website, which are not part of this module. It would be nice if they could be integrated, so that this module would be for all people and up to date. Well, it is only second one translation module i have tested. But it really works. Google translations have all its limitations independent on this module. TRanslations from english into other languages will never be excellent becouse of the english language itself, poor of gramatics.
Now I like to test it from german or italian into english and other languages. From german it could be much better.
It would be nice, as an extension, to give in admin-back end the possibility to choose some final languages and switch beetween menu like it is now and a row of flags. :)
