Pro: Fancy and swish. Nice if you just have one photo page.
Con: You need to upload your photos into the extension mod directory for the module to work multiple galleries. Not easy to upload with Joomla Media Manager in this case.
I'm looking for an extension to show a gallery per article with the images stored in images/story directory - this aint it but it is close.

Hey Ho!
This is one of the best Gallery module I'd ever tried.
But I'll have a small problem, well maybe a big one.
I just tried the module a few days ago and have 20-30 pictures. And when every picture has been loaded my Mozilla takes 600mb of memory.
And we have a load of picture to use, but If we've can't manage to fix this I've can't use the module.

Ozio Gallery 1.0.3 Improvements by SoundEagle, August 13, 2008

I really like Ozio Gallery, and would like to make several very important suggestions for further improvements (after which this Joomla extension will/can definitely deserve an excellent rating):
(1) Please allow different skins to be chosen for different menu items. Currently, only one skin can be used for all the menu items. The skin should be capable of being independently chosen for each menu item when it is being edited in the Menu Item Manager, rather than being globally set in the General tab of the Ozio Gallery Settings, which forces all menu items to use only that skin, and thus severely limiting the usefulness of Ozio Gallery.
(2) The introduction of the FlashCategory skin is to be commended because each folder in images/oziogallery is a new category. However, rather than insisting that these folders have to be created or found in images/oziogallery, it would be really advantageous for Ozio Gallery to be able to work with any folders. This means that the user only needs to specify any folder or directory (using a built-in file and directory browser) of his website, and Ozio Gallery will show all the folders and subfolders for the user to choose from, and then display only legitimate image files in the chosen folder or subfolder, ignoring non-image files.
(3) The ability mentioned above can also be applied to Tilt 3D and Image Rotator skins. The Accordion skin may also be a candidate.
(4) The preservation of previous user settings during an upgrade so that users do not need to remember and re-enter their settings again.
(5) The Ozio Gallery module is much less reliable than the component, and does not seem to work in many instances.
I would consider item (1) to be the most important and beneficial, and also the simplest to implement through the Joomla API. It is a matter of creating an extra field for the Ozio Gallery Menu Item sandwiched between "Parameters - BasicType" and "Parameters - System", calling it "Parameters - Component". You can even add additional fields so that each menu item can have not just different skins but can also have different parameters for the chosen skin.
I look forward to future versions. Keep up the great work!

I have tried several other galleries, one of which has categorizing options - and my client have uploaded several categories containing several hundred photos - only to find that the template he'd chosen would not display the gallery. I wanted to throw up - picturing the job of reuploading and re-categorizing pictures into another gallery.
Nonetheless, I installed OzioGallery (which I'd installed for another client who has flickr gallery) and out of curiosity, I went to the developer's page to see if they have anything on categorizing pictures. Lo and behold: there's instruction on their front page on how to categorize pictures. After simply moving the pictures into ozio's folder and copying the gallery.php files, my gallery was up, working, *and* categorized!
The Flickr integration also works perfectly with only minute tweaks. I am using it in my personal site and am enjoying its ease of use and config. I love it. And in the name of all webGods, I will use this extension faithfully. =)

This is a very beautiful photo gallery component! I can't help being excited to translate it into Chinese language.
I noticed that the author is planning to add Separate Album feature in the future version, that will make this component even better !

Great aesthetics, easy to setup, limited basic configuration by alistair.nelson, July 14, 2008

Love this plugin but a few basic missing options stop me from being able to use it:
* You can customise the height of the gallery but not width
* You cannot configure thumbnail size. They are way too small by default. You can only increase them by increasing the gallery height, which then makes the gallery less usable.
* You can't configure full-size image sizes.
With simple settings to adjust the size of thumb/photo sizes the Ozio would be great. Owner's reply: in next version You can customise the width of the gallery, now you can customise the width of the gallery using the module.
To adjust the size of thumb/photo you can buy the TiltViewer-Pro, is available for purchase with increased customization options and the TiltViewer logo not included. To purchase it click here. To upgrade existing TiltViewer galleries to TiltViewer-Pro, replace the TiltViewer.swf file in your existing folder (at components/com_oziogallery/TiltViewer.swf) with the one that comes in the Pro download.

This is a great photo tool. I had issues but it turns out they were template issues. If this doesn't work check it on the Beez Template to verify it's really not working. Because once I realized that it was my template, getting it to work was easy. My only request is that it's actually a bit hard to get to the english instructions. But otherwise really great.

Good job AlexRed.The Gallery is simple, easy and fast to install and use. I like that you just can upload via FTP to a default folder the photos. I currently use Image Rotator skin because the with Tild 3D sometimes pictures are overlapping and flipping.
I searched and worked a lot to find a good gallery extension for my site. I found this and I like it. Even if it is limited, considering is just at it's begginings it is promising for futur developments so I will keep it. Please consider to make upgrades easy and painless.

Awesome! by outerspace, June 8, 2008

Nice and easy, took approximately 43 seconds to get it running. Whoo!
Like someone else said it would be nice to have the FLA file, but since the actual tiltviewer itself is from these guys- http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/tiltviewer/
-and they also want to sell the Pro version without the logo, well, I can't really complain.
Nice one!

Very nice gallery, but only one single gallery menu possible by Nagel, May 28, 2008

Easy to install and use, considering it's still 0.20 beta. Hope you will continue working on this. For now you're only able to include one gallery at a time. I wish it would be possible to select the gallery and options in the menu section and not in the component administration, so you could add more menus with galleries. Good work so far, hope to see the 1.0 soon ;) Owner's reply: Ciao Nagel, with the new Ozio Gallery module you can display different galleries in Joomla contents.

Where is the FLA file? by jroldan, May 23, 2008

Great component! But I also would like to be able to change thumb sizes and to make other personalitations. I downloaded the component but only the SWF file was in the ZIP file. Where is the FLA file? As far as I'm concerced, if this component is distributed by GNU/GPLv2, all source code must me available.
Once again, great component!
