This modules allows for publishing content items or articles in areas other than mainBody(). Choose if you want to display a single item, all items from a category, all items from a section, or a number of content items/categories/sections specified by a comma separated list of ids. Simply enter the content item ID in the module's parameters field, assign a position to the module, and publish it. You can copy the module and assign a different name, position and contentitem id to the copy. Also includeds a "Read more" link option. With the "merge items" option you can merge multiple content items (/categories/sections) into one document for print and pdf. (Forum: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=36326, but please ask questions on my blog)
By now there is also a version for 1.5 (native), I would be glad for some feedback. The 1.5 version does not yet include the "merge items" option.
Download Links are in the sidebar of my homepage ("Content Item Module" or "Module for 1.5" respectively).

| Great Extension by rootwiley, July 23, 2008 |

This is a great extension. Almost a must have in my mind. I have used it extensively with my front page.
The large number of parameters on this module make it super configurable, something I really needed. However, I see no need for the large number of tables. To get this module really to where I needed it, I had to remove quite a few tables from the code.

This is one of the modules I use the most when developing websites. It is very useful and works great.
This allows you to mix components with contents or other components on the same page - great stuff!

To recommend this module I had to signed up an account. This module is THAT good that its worth the trouble!
What's perfect about this module is that it also allows you to put "randomised" or "Latest" articles in certain Section/Category in Module positions.

This module needs to come standard with Joomla.
This is a must have for putting content where you want it.
Simple to install.
Just got to Module Manager, Select New, then Select the "Place Here" module.
Awesome support. Eike is the man! So helpful!

This module works perfectly, easy to install and easy to use.
It gives me the freedom to position content in any position i like. And because of that i use it al the time. With this module you can even forget to put mosmainbody in your template.
Thank you for that! i can recommend it to every one!

By far one of the most useful Modules.
If you want a Journal/Magazine "look like" site, this is the best module you can have... Forget about Front page module.. you may build a Multi categories/sections front page... each one with is own style.
For me is a great help...
