Would you like a faster and more scalable Joomla site? The Content Static plugin allows you to do just that by letting you to make your site static. Making an article's content static, saves the need for costly SQL resources to load pages from a database. A similar benefit is present when loading a significant number of modules and plugins. By making your webpage static, you and your users can simply access the static page by pointing or typing the page's url. How Does Content Static Work? Content Static generates the static content upon initial access of an article, from then on, the page will essentially have nothing to do with Joomla, and would behave just like any other html page. Instruction and Tips: To make the plugin work: 1.Configure Joomla in sef mode. This should make urls look in the following manner: http://www.eboga.org/joomla-plugin-seometa.html (http://www.XXXX.com/xxxx/xxxxxx/xxxx.html) 2. URLs must end with 'html'. 3. The Joomla base directory must be writable. 4. Make Content static your last system plugin, so that its effect would supersede all other plugin work. Additional Notes and Troubleshooting: 1. The plugin should not alter your database at all. 2. If you encounter some problems when using the plugin, please login to your site with an ftp or ssh and delete the directory created by the plugin. Then, disable the plugin. This should fix the problem. 3. The plugin is not workable under windows. Since Joomla urls contains 'index.php' in urls. The system renders an index.php file, therefore the plugin cannot create a directory with name 'index.php'. If you like the plugin, please let me know! Report this listing
