Did you know that you can embed PDF files in content just like you put flash and other media? Well, this mambot does exactly that - it allows you to embed PDF files in your content. You can load an external PDF file in your content very easily using this mambot/plugin.
Please follow the Instructions below before contacting us for support.
1. Install & Enable the Plugin.
2. Place the code
{pdf=http://xxx.com.com/files/pdf/yourfile.pdf|500|300}
where 500 & 300 are widths and heights respectively in your content where you need to embed the PDF.
3. Make sure that the pdf url that you place in the mambot code is not treated as a html link by the Joomla Editor you are using ( If it turns blue with a underline, then it is being treated as a link. )
** The Plugin wont work if this happens.
To avoid this place the code in HTML mode of the editor rather than while using the WYSIWYG mode. Or turn the editor off before using the plugin.
We added this small Instruction sheet as we got a lot of requests having the same issue.
Please note that it will only work where the pdf embedding is supported by client side browsers. For example i have to download adobe's plugin to make it work on my Firefox in Linux ( Ubuntu )
Most windows machines will have this installed when they install the adobe reader.
Do consider giving this plugin a review if you find it useful.
Editor's Note
- This extension requires registration to download.

This is a great plugin and installed in seconds! Its probably one of the easiest plugins I've installed all year.
And the developers are on the ball too - great support. I needed to include a pdf document into a new Joomla 1.5 site. Imagine my disappointment when I realised only a 1.0 version was available for download. I contacted Tekdi - the developers - and received a prompt reply -- that the Joomla 1.5 native version was expected out in late Dec. Then I received a 2nd email with the new version attached! I am probably one of the first to test it out :)
Great job, Parth Lawate. Thanks for your help.
